Not guaranteed...if Denver wins tomorrow, you guys are going to New England Is there much of a difference though lol.
What was up with their coaches going at it on the sideline? Herm really was getting hot, that was a funny scene.
Ya that's pretty bad when yoru coaches are going at it during a playoff game. I guess the Running Back coach was pissed at the way Herm was using Martin and Jordan.
It is no coincidence that marty schott has never made the superbowl. He made way to many coaching mistakes last night. First, why not take the field goal on third down? that way you have a second chance on fourth down. Then let's go to late in the fourth quarter..Guys come on.. we all play madden..what would we do if the DEFENSE was missing a man? Or maybe that blame should fall on Breese. All I know is John Madden clearly pointed out that on 2 occasions, the jets were 1 man short on defense, and the chargers failed to take advantage of it. I wouldn't call the jets lucky, i would call the chargers dumb.
You dont get to retry the FG if you miss it on 3rd down. Once you kick it you lose the ball. (if thats what you meant) I think his biggest mistake was thinking that a 40 yard FG was a gimme, in a playoff game with a rookie kicker. Running 3 times right into the line was moronic, you need to get the ball closer.
You cant retry it if you kick it, otherwise teams would kick on first down and just try it 4 times until they get it right . The reason they kick it on 3rd down is if theres a bad snap they could just cover the ball and try again on 4th.
Maybe our Bears will make it next year man 8) I highly doubt it but you never know. Thomas Jones is a great addition, plus with Rex back you never know. I guess we can pray. As for today's game, I think it is BS that the refs were told to watch Lynch like a hawk. First off last week when the Broncos played Indy I think it was total BS when Lynch got fined 75,000 dollars for the hit on Clark (I'm pretty sure it was Clark). That was sooo stupid. Either way the refs were told to eject Lynch if he has any questionable hits. Thats BS
That hit was worth a fine... Roy Williams of the Cowboys has recieved fines for lesser hits. Colts have all the advantages in this game today and if they lose it will be a damn shame. I'm so happy Denver has NO pash rush...it will be awesome to see Manning throw 3-5 TD passes!
The Lynch hit was dirty, and he's done it before. Of course they're going to "watch him like a hawk"... and I would expect him to get ejected if he does it again. When you lead with your head like that and do helmet to helmet hits, that's how guys get paralyzed or seriously injured. This isn't NFL Blitz or NFL Street. You can hit a guy hard, and do it cleanly, and you can hit a guy with the intent to injure and that's what the NFL wants to stay away from. Lynch is a nice guy off the field, but IMO I think his fine and the resulting "spotlight" that's going to be put on him by the refs is well deserved.
Well, I still think its BS. When your out on the field and are getting ready to make a big hit you do not stop to think about "Wait, will my head contact his head?". Yea people can get hurt...but really you are at risk of getting hurt on every snap. I love how Lynch isn't afraid to lay it on players. It helps when you have people on the other team wondering where you are on the field. As for the game, end of the first quarter its Indy 14 Denver 0. I do not think we will win this game. It really hurts having Trevor Pryce out considering the rest of the D-Line isn't that good. Plus Denver has a rookie CB out there :-& As long as they do not lose by 31 again though its all good.
Of course you think its BS because you're a Denver fan. Its a cheapshot and deserved a fine. Hits like that can end careers which is why its illegal. Denver is known for their cheap play, they need to outlaw that BS cut block they teach their lineman too, how many broken legs did they cause this year, 2 or 3?
It was one, and that was a fair play. The end result was bad, yes, but the play wasn't an illegal one.
They broke the leg of Jacksonville lineman in week 2 and a Cincinnati lineman in week 7. I thought there might have been one more. And yea its legal now which is why i said it should be outlawed, but its cheap as hell, which is why very few teams teach that tactic.
