NCAA Football 2008 - Season 6 Info and Rules

    Game Settings:

Guessing on the setting. Settings will be finalized when the game comes out, but they will be similar to what you see below. Therefore, you can assume they will be real close to what you see below.

    Difficulty: Heisman
    Ranked: TBD
Quarter Length: 5 or 6 Minutes
    Fair Play: TBD
    Injuries: Yes
    Fatigue: Yes
    Weather: Game Default

    Schedule Format:
    - 10 to 14 game schedule depending on the number of teams involved.
    - If 10 games, it will be over a 6 week period.
    - If 12 games, it will be over a 7 week period.
    - If 14 games, it will be over a 8 week period.
    - * there will be user scheduled Non Conference games. More TBA.
    - Open schedule. You can play your games in any order.
    - Must play the minimum required to complete all games by end of season. An example: 10 games in 6 weeks, you must complete at least 3 games every two weeks or your reliability meter will be hit. More on that later.
    - # of teams and Conferences will be determined when sign-ups are completed. We will attempt to keep teams in their real conference if possible.

    Conference Championship games:
Each Conference will have a Championship game between the top 2 teams from the given Conference. The winner of each Conference Championship game will represent their Conference in the playoffs. There will be 4 Conferences that teams will fall in. Your team will be matched as closely as possible to one of the four conferences to simulate actual NCAA conferences.
Playoffs: After each Conference Champion has been named, a four team playoff will occur. The team with the best record will play the team with the worst record and the two middle teams will play each other. The winners of those two games will face each other for the League Championship game.

    Disconnects:
Divergence errors, disconnects, connection issues, etc. Because the game may kick you back to the main menu if any of these should occur, it would be hard to recreate the same circumstances as when the network problem happened. In this case the game should be replayed in full.

Note: If you have noticed a number of disconnects happening all of a sudden with just a certain player please get in touch with the NCAA Commissioners to work on a way to try and work around the problems. If there is less than 3 minutes left in the game an you are up by more than 16 points ( two scores ), the game does not need to be replayed. Please enter your boxscore ONLY if stats are not available.

    Scoreboard and Calculator Input:
The winner of each game is required to input the score and stats into the calculator when the Game is completed. If you are new, please note what game stats are required for entry. This normally takes between 4 and 12 minutes to do, so make sure you are aware that you will need to do this activity if you win.

    Voice chat:
It is an official requirement that every league member use their headset while playing league games. If not just to chat with your fellow gamer, at a minimum you need it to talk and hear each other if something should come up (ie. phone call, door bell, etc). The voice chat feature is what makes these games great, and it helps build comradery with fellow members. So please use it and get to know each other. If you don't like to talk, or maybe you can't because it's late at night or whatever, you still are required to wear the headset and be able to listen. Have the common courtesy to tell your playing partner "I can't talk right now" if that is the case.

    Instant Messengers:
Please try and make yourself available on MSN and or AIM and add all of the league members to your buddy lists. Most of use one or both of these chat clients and it is our primary tool for getting our games scheduled, lined up and started. You can use the forum and PM's of course, but the chat clients are "instant" of course. Please note that most of the individuals use msn in this league. If you do not want to use msn, please consider trillian where you can add an msn account without using msn.

    Final Comments:
I would like to make very clear we will not tolerate any members dropping out of the league. Anyone who drops from this league will never be asked back to this league and future membership in future & Current leagues (eg NHL, NFL, MLB, NBA, or any other LG league) could be invalidated.

Proper etiquette will be followed while posting in the NCAA Forums. Anyone found causing problems(Arguments, Soap Operas, Etc.) in the NCAA forum may be subject to removal.

Thank you all for your interest. We look forward to having a very competitive season, but most of all looking to have a lot of fun with this league. These rules are in place in an attempt to make the league a fun and exciting league.

Please Note: The polls will not be used during the course of the season due to the fact that they run by week in the schedule. Since we are doing an open schedule this season, it will be impossible to accurately track the polls as we move through the season.

If you like what you see and want to sign up. You can do that HERE.
