New LGAHL Media content coming soon!!!

Gents, it's no secret that the LGAHL Media content has died down over the past few seasons. With the loss of AHL Insider, and many other write ups and videos that people posted, it's becoming a little boring. SO...I sat down after a few bong rips and asked myself "Dave, what could you do to help the media situation?" Now, I'm pretty damn sure the pot took over the thinking on this one, BUT, it seems I've convinced myself to create a Weekly Update podcast, being released on Sunday mornings, updating the previous week, IE: significant trades, bans, the usual stuff, but without really getting into DEEP detail. Just a way for people to...for the most part, catch up on the previous week. There's going to be all sorts of different topics, and honestly, if anyone is bored, and wants to spend an hour talking LG with me, I'll bring you on and we can have fun with this. I want this to be plain, simple and straight to the point, but also having some humor and light heartedness (I like making up my own words) to it. I have no idea exactly when I'm going to launch this, but with the shortened season, and pending approval from the League/Media group...expect the first release before the start of Week 3. IF, I have time, and am able to pull it off, I'll try to do a shortened show and release a little something tomorrow, but it's VERY unlikely. I'll do my best. You should talk to [MENTION=7866]joek5[/MENTION], he was mentioning to me that he would like to do a short segment / podcast & call it "Inside the Crease" and make it about "Goaltenders". Maybe you could talk to him & incorporate it inside your podcast. It would be cool in my opinion, and maybe have other segments for "Defense" & "Forwards".... but hey, it's your thing... so you do what you want with it.

 

I appreciate your dedication Pivot! I would definitely be excited for a new podcast to fill the gap and give something to be excited to look forward to every week! I love the AHL insider, dating back to the VHL days. Ever since I started league back in NHL 12. Definitely looking forward to your podcasts Pivot! I would be interested in being involved. An all goalie segment would be cool. Looking forward to seeing it regardless.

 

If we can get some goalie save videos and do a top 5 or 10 saves of the week would be cool. I would help with that.

 

Anyone who wants to do stuff like videos, feel free to do what you want...this thread isn't me recruiting a media team...all I'm doing is announcing that I'm gonna do a podcast. I have a co-host picked out, we're just looking for a few people to show up as special guests and stuff. Not happening this season, it's the summer season of a dead game/system. We'll be back next season.

 

This isn't by any means a shot at the Insider crew. Those guys respected me enough to put me on their show and ask me legit questions. I had fun. Even after my tablet bit the dust and fucked the segment up, they never criticized me. I have nothing but respect for [MENTION=6329]Funsley[/MENTION] and [MENTION=6024]I Love ND[/MENTION] and the work they put into this site. Regardless of any controversy that may or may not have been started, continued, whatever...their shit was extremely entertaining and I can't wait for it to come back. They're taking a well deserved break...this is something to fill the gap until their shenanigans grace our forums again. I have no idea what to expect out of this...I'm 33 with a full time job and a pregnant wife...I'm just trying to do my part while others get a little break from this shit.

 

I wouldn't mind being a special guest sometime
