What do you guys think and do you think this game will still be shit or will it be different?
A lot of positives there. Loved when Sustr was in the lane for the slow pass in front and was able to intercept it and go north with the puck. I also thought the skating looked a bit more refined than it did at E3. If the balance video is right and positioning (especially in the defensive zone) and skating are better than ever, then the base is already there for a much improved experience. Only negatives I saw were the one-timer that missed 15 feet wide (although, to be fair, it was an opposite side one t that has almost never gone in in the history of video game hockey) and a real lack of change in goalie animations. But again, in fairness, that was a :57 clip, so judging goalie animations on that alone isn't totally fair. EDIT: I also wasn't a huge fan of when the puck went right through Nate Thompson's poke check in the neutral zone, either. Honestly, After 5 years of the puck going through me when trying to defend against teams that force it, I was so excited to see you could pick that pass off that I am willing to overlook/be content with some of the negatives.
Looks like it's easier to pick the puck up; yes, I do realize how that sounds. Also, in the history of video game gameplay, the person controlling TBL might be the worst video game gameplay controller to ever be in a gameplay trailer.
All of this would be cool if I could use my Xbox 360 controller on the One. I dont feel like controlling my skater with a glorified golf tee.
Collision detection is something we should really get on ea about. But when i pointed out that, EA stated they will never fix collision detection because no one will score. I think ea should refine the poke check /stick lift more, make collision 100% .But ,only if there is collision occurring. No more bubble hits or poke check bubbles, if the stick hits puck. It hits .
It's a trailer released by EA. This looks good now but we'll see when release comes around. EA loves to hype. Their marketing team is most assuredly bigger and better funded than their development team. I'll honestly be surprised if the game is able run properly. I'll be happy and pleasantly surprised if NHL16; doesn't freeze and crash routinely; servers run with an acceptable amount of latency and club games don't loop after a whistle every 3rd game. I'm jaded, I'll believe it when I see it. That all being said, I'll be a chump and buy the game like the rest of you.
I love the guy saying its the same as 15.. Like yeah, they just changed just about everything aside from goalie animations, hitting(?) and graphics from what we've seen PRE-BETA, totally the same game. I didn't know we had this many people play the full game already, I'm glad they're here to point out something I don't think the rest of us have seen. Meanwhile last year when they only updated the graphics and left out everything for NHL 15 on the One you guys probably bitched, now that they don't upgrade the graphics you bitch it looks the same. Go fly a kite in a thunderstorm. @lDuchene9
Hard to tell with Beavis and Butthead controlling the game. You'd think they'd choose a couple of people who have held a video game controller before to showcase their new product.
Not Standards. Some Do. $5 More With This. http://www.consoletuner.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=330 One More --> http://cronusmax.com
