NHL 2k5 Confirmed Fi source (http://www.espnhockey.net/forums/index.php?showtopic=3355) One that sticks out again is , For those who remember 2k3, some teams would always go down twice , but it looks like they are going to counter that with an option to change the camera angle
I on the other hand would always love to be skating up.. Geez if I had that option in 2k3 I would have never lost a single game.
however this works out, i think it's a safe bet to make a rule that you can't always be going in one direction every period
Will we really be able to see who is and who isn't though? I guess we can have it so that you have to look at their options.
Well ya in 2k4 it really doesnt matter which way you are skating but 2k3 home ice advantage was HUGE.
Even if it's not an advantage there should be something in place to block a player from doing this If you want to go up or down every period of every game then you are in the wrong league!
I just like going down better because I can see where my Defensemen are so I can take shots from the point
Yea Strike but imagine it on D... my concern isnt myself going down or up everytime... but the person who i am gonna be defending. Cause there are certian moves/dekes/shots that are easier to do going up and some that are easier to do going down. If we think ppl score the same goals over and over in this game i'd hate to see it in 2k5. And if someone is down a goal u might have them Pausing LOL 3 times in the 3rd period seeing if going up helps.. then down... then up LOL I think i would get sick of going up//down 3 times in 1 game anyways.
I know what you mean Gurps. I didnt read the article. But if there is no option to turn it off, what can you do. I just hope they didnt screw this game as they did NFL 2k5.
first of all, i regret of loosing naslund, who was mentioned that his stick ability or any players who have big + in stick handling can take advantage of their "talent" :x .............. but i totally agree, i hope we can have that home (skatting up) advantage. im not sayin im good at home, but at least you can "feel" the difference. this feature (skating up and down in the game) add realism in the gameplay. (others play good when skating down, meaning ur better of when ur visiting team  ). may i add, that this is a good thing in the stat board, to know, which team to look out for when you are visitng or hosting a game. likewise, i think based on espnvideogames.com the problem of not be able to replace a GM in ESPN NFL 2k5, ESPN is working hard to get it right w/ NHL and the NBA. now, if this will be applied SUCCESSFULLY in NHL, that will be awesome (i'll find the thread if i come accross with it)
But the divisions and schedules still won't be straight. We won't be able to play 82 games, facing the correct people the correct amount of times. And divisions won't be able to be set up either. But re-read the article, it says and Korolyuk. He is on the Sharks, he just wasn't on last year's online team, but he was on the roster updates.
guess i should know my team now eh? why cant we play 82 games? is there a limit in the number of games in a season? if so, where did you learn about this? or this is just a hunch based on NFL 2k5?
