Hey guys, its been a long time since i played any 2k hockey or xbox for that matter. But i've decided maybe its time i finally went out and bought a 360 . I think its about time i came back and put a end to Tris's rule over 2k hockey!

I think it's safe to say that 2k hockey has died this year....

I wouldn't say that. I mean if 2k try's to make 2k9 anything like the crap that was 2k8, then they could be on their way to the coffin. If 2k goes back to go back to 2k7 and makes it great, I think they could be back next year. 2k needs to drop their stupid "pro stick" and flat out copy's EA's. If EA was smart they just add a full set of sliders and 2k's defensive controls, then they could really put a end to 2k.

 

I got this game for free and have yet to open it up...

 

I just played the demo last night....don't waste your time opening it. I'd see if Walmart or Best Buy will take it back for credit.

 

Try it out. The controls are tricky for the EA fans to handle, but it plays a nice sim game. If you don't like it, you don't lose anything. If you hate it, smash it and make yourself feel better.

The demo is not a true representation of the real game. You are locked in with controls, sliders, settings etc. I must admit, I wish they made the controls a little easier to handle for my EA brothers.

 

Coming from a guy who's played 2k games the past 4-5 years, I hated both the controls and the camera. I realize you can go back to 2k7 controls but then it'd basically be like playing 2k7 again. I don't know if it's the camera or the animations but the players just don't look as realistic in their movments as in 08.

 

This year was definitely a low for 2k hockey. I have posted my thoughts on how to improve this game over at 2khockey.net.

 

the camera definately killed the game (demo) for me.

 

They need to add a new camera angle for this game, or let the user define the camera.

It probably default to the panoramic view, which is not very popular.
