I think we can agree, that these all have no place in hockey, and they didn't so rules were mae to stop it. And yes during a period of time when the rule was put in place I bet a rogue few argued against it. Players like bobby clarke or Don Cherry that think hockey should be very little gear and players killing each other. nhl HITZ style.

The game is faster, bodies are getting bigger and players are becoming more stupid by the minute (avery/cooke types). This rule gives campbell the ability to make the matt cookie hit illegal with suspension. Because yes that hit was fully legal under the old rules, now it's not so lets move on.

In the end we may as well be arguing like crazy about the "Hardcore passing". That got far didn't it, was squashed the minute the game was released and everyone realized it's not even going to be used.

Well this argument is the hardcore discussion fitted for NHL hockey. Because by next year this will be nothing. There will still be huge hits, and people that will get suspended that need to be.

In a thread consisting of 2 other people that bothered talking. One being you, the other being the one I trolled for 1 post. So therefore, that one person that thinks you failed is a pretty big part of it.

Matt Cooke is a peer of these people, and is the one inflicting the damage. I wouldn't expect Mike Lundin to care if he heard that EASHL legend Gerbox 360 broke both his thumbs in much the same way I don't care if the next time he steps on the ice, he gets a career ending injury.
