But without backing it up with at least some subjective data, then you're a complete fan boy. "We're number 1" doesn't really work as a legit argument.
Of course there better then other pitcher on our team when did i ever say they werent. They have better pitching but we have better hitting, better baserunning, better Defense, and Home Field. Heres how the lineups will looke like tonite. 1.Womack vs Biggio (ADV. Cards) 2.Walker vs Beltran (ADV. Astros) 3.Pujols vs Bagwell(ADV Cards) 4.Rolen vs Berkman (ADV Cards) 5.Edmonds vs Kent (EVEN) 6.Renteria vs Ensberg (ADV. Cards) 7.Sanders vs Vizcaino (ADV. Cards) 8.Matheny vs Ausmus (EVEN) 9.Suppan vs Clemens (ADV. Cards) Suppan had a tought time hitting this season but last season he had a 275 average. and i think hes 3 for 4 in the playoffs
LOL your team doesnt even watch the signs when running the bases. Did you see Pujols last night? Besides the fact he is slower than a turtle he ran home even though his coach told him to hold up.
Well Womack is hurt and I heard he isn't playing tonight. Also, I'd take Berkman over Rolen anyday of the week, especially right now as Berkman is almost as hot as Beltran. Rolen has all of like 2 or 3 hits, all HR's mind you but he hasn't done enough to give him the advantage. Oh ya and a great pitcher will shut down a great lineup anyday of the week so look out if Clemens is on again tonight like he was in game 3.
:bosr: vs :bstl: WS. :bosr: will definatly win, I think they have a stronger offence/better pitching.
LMAO thats a laugh! On Paper there a better team, but on the field the Cardinals are better. WE won this game by Defense although we made that error we wouldve been no where without that Edmonds diving catch it wouldve been 4-0 early. WE also won this game by baserunning Roger Cedeno started that rally for the cards he got Clemens way out of his rhythm and thats when the bats started workin. GO CARDS
:? Simmer down, damn. I was just stateing that I believe :bosr: will win in 6. I just think they have a much stronger team. Plus I hate the Cards and want em to lose
Hmmm....I was right. I'd take Rolen. Mind you I do want to applaud Houston as they gave us a bigger run than even I expected. Beltran was amazing and I'm glad he'll hold some records for his postseason appearence. I do feel bad for all you true Houston fans as I know what that feels like with the Cards falling out of several post-season events in the last few years. I won't take it back for those of you that just simply hate the Cardinals, you all can just eat it.
Me too. BTW stljohnson, the Cards are actually better on paper (highest runs scored differential in MLB this season) and have better regular season numbers in most categories over the Red Sox. If you think the Cards have a mean lineup now, just wait until you see them with the DH in there. Yeah baby.
Amazing how the best team in baseball this year gets no love, no respect. That's the way we like it though. No one watched the NLCS, no one cared outside of the midwest it seemed. Schilling's hurt (6.30 ERA in the ALCS), Pedro's is a shell of his former self (6.23 ERA in the ALCS), Wakefield scares noone (8.59 ERA in the ALCS). Boston still has the curse, the Cards are 2-0 against the Sox in WS history, and St. Louis has the best manager in MLB in their dugout.
Wrong Bobby Cox is the best manager in baseball. Anyone could coach the current STL team....that's like saying Torre is the best coach in baseball.
Bobby Cox has had a good if not great team the past 15 years. They have been underachievers for the most part. I would not call him the best manager in baseball by far.
