Yeah they are both true waiting approval from the commisioner of baseball. I have ESPN Insider, so I got all these updates about 30 minutes ago, am waiting to see who else is going for it.
More news is coming out about this 4-way trade between the following teams: Boston RedSox ( :bosr: ) Chicago Cubs ( :chic: ) Minnesota Twins ( :bmin: ) Montreal Expos ( :bmon: ) All I can really tell you right now, is that in this trade, Nomar Garciaparra went to the Cubs, Doug Mientkiewicz went to Boston, and Orlando Cabrera also went to Boston. That is the only news that has broken through yet, but will keep you updated.
Final word on the trade: Chicago get: ( :chic: )-Nomar Garciaparra ( :bosr: ) Boston get: ( :bosr: )- Olando Cabrera ( :bmon: ) & Doug Mienkiewicz ( :bmin: ) Montreal get: ( :bmon: )- Alex Gonzales ( :chic: ) Minnesota get: ( :bmin: )- Prospects I still don't have a public press release to give you guys on it, but when it comes I will post it for you guys.
We'll miss you Doug  Always liked that guy but they are going to go with a guy with a bigger bat in Justin Morneau.
I have always liked Alex Gonzalez, but I think Nomar will fit in good in Chicago. I was worried because what was supposed to happen was Boston get Matt Clement and Chicago get Nomar. I would rather lose Gonzo than Clement. So I am sorta relieved.
I am not a Twins fan, but have always kind of fancied Doug myself. As for this trade, I give the good thumbs up to both the Red Sox and Cubs. Obviously Cubbies as they get Nomar, but the RedSox, not only for getting Cabrera and Mientkiewicz, but also for trading Nomar away and actually getting something, where as the off-season they were going to lose him anyway through free agency and what do they get in return....an empty roster spot.
