Offical Sign-Up Thread

i guess i sign up

 

Alright so we have about 20 guys now and thats a good number of guys for a golf league. Can we maybe try and get this thing started up? Not trying to force you guys (Demon, Caniac) to speed it up immediately but I was just wondering what the next step is? Send something into the admins or something?

 

We are leaving this open for a few more days.. I know demon talked to marauders about getting support for this league.. I am hoping to hear about that soon and then will move on to the nest step

 

Nice. Yeah keeping the sign up open for a few additional days is a good idea. The more members the better. Like I said I think 20 guys is a big number for a golf league and is a good start. Hopefully if we get more players, we will draw an even number so we can split teams evenly. Good to hear the process is taking place and this league could kick-start soon. Good Work boys.

 

If demon doesn't get a reply,I say something to marauders and stags when I talk to them today. See if I can get a status report.

 

Okay thanks marauders... OR I should say that demon talked to marauders about getting support and he said that we most likely could get support.. I will send a message to demon and check whats up..

 

whatever u want buddy, i have to talk with them anyway about madden league scoreboard issues. i was just going to drop while i have them.

 

does anyone know what type of matches will be played? one on ones? 4 ball? just curious because ive been getting some problems with freezing in 4 player matches for some reason. i may have narrowed it down to the disc, because nothing else freezes at all.

 

I've never had a freeze online, maybe 2 DC's that is it. I've played stroke, stroke sim, skins, alt shot and one ball with 4 players online.

 

yea its just the 4 player games....most of the time it freezes right in the screen where everyone selects their golfers...sometimes itll freeze while loading. i havent tried a 4 player game in about a week so i'll give it another whirl

Okay guys!!! I updated the top post we are up to 23 participants... I am afraid to go forward with out scoreboard support. The leagues that didnt have support that I participated in have seemed to fall through.. I am still waiting to here about the stauts of getting scoreboard support

 

wait for the scoreboard---we saw what happened in the nascar league without it....

 

how many guys were in that league?

scoreboard would be nice, but i dont see it as absolutely necessary. we're looking at something like 5 teams of 5. as long as those 5 team captains stay organized and on top of things, it should work.

 

I think that the scoreboard would def. help this league sustain over the long run... The nascar league prob had about 24 guys at the start..Once the scoreboard wasnt working right it seemed the league fell off

 

scoreboard is essential to these leagues no doubt about it ..... at least its a major portion for me...i dont want to speak for other people but bnc is right..... it would really suck to play matches and not be able to look them up.... it could lead to future disputes about games and scores and so on...not to say everyone on this site is shady but playing in the NHL team league has shown me that when you put people in competitions they get feisty...shaving a stroke or two would not seem out of the question.....

 

we talked about this in the older thread - we would a google spreadsheet or something to keep track. something that would be viewable by everyone, editable by team captains or something.

i just wanna get the Tiger league running before the NHL Juggernaut hits. uh-oh...
