https://forums.ea.com/en/nhl/discussion/237011/an-update-on-gameplay-feedback-action-plan Hey everyone, Before the holidays begin, we just wanted to provide everyone with an update around NHL 19, and more specifically the feedback we have been hearing around the gameplay. Over the past few months, we have been seeing a lot of people on all channels asking for us to revert to Beta tuners as they enjoyed the game better during that time frame. While we believe that the current gameplay has a lot of improvements from launch, we also recognize that there could be areas of gameplay that you preferred better in the past. As a result, in mid-January we are going to be rolling back to the Beta Tuner for a limited time to get your feedback on what you like/dislike about the Beta Tuner compared to the current gameplay tuner. Please note that this will undo some of the positive changes that we’ve seen from the community, so you’ll be seeing some of the following occur again: Poke checks will be more sensitive and cause more tripping penalties AI goaltending performance will be different The ability to drop your stick Increase in incidental contact strength (bumps) Decrease in penalties from stick lifts After we change back from the tuner, we will be posting a feedback survey to gather your thoughts, likes, and dislikes on the Beta tuner. While it is a little while until the tuner goes live, we wanted to provide you with an update as we know how passionate you are about the product. Once we get closer to the date of the tuner, we will provide an update with more information and details on what is happening, when it’s happening, and what you can expect. Thank you for your dedication and feedback throughout NHL 19 and we hope everyone has a happy holidays! - The EA SPORTS NHL Team Edit: It's only going to be for about a week https://twitter.com/TheFlopFish/status/1076271608887619584
Why not just revert back to the skating from the beta, and do away with the other glaring issues from the beta?... A stick-lift and bumpfest won't be enjoyable for anyone.
You're expecting too much from EA. But anyway, it's just temporary to get some feedback and make changes from there. There's no way they just use the original beta tuner for the rest of the year. Edit: It's only going to last a week https://twitter.com/TheFlopFish/status/1076271608887619584
I wouldn't expect them too. Just find it odd to completely revert back to the beta tuner with all the glaring issues that you mentioned. Imo pokes and sticklifts are right where they should be, and bumps are still a little OP. As for this likely just lasting one week, this poses an interesting dilemma for LG playoffs, as mid-January would likely be the Cup Final. Can't really have the two final teams playing each other on a completely different game than they played on for the first 12 weeks.
THE ALPHA PRE-BETA POST FULL GAME -69.0mega.I/O.Omega (but unofficial NHL '20 ALPHA ZULU) CONCEPT DESIGN...Tight I give thanks to all the helpful trolls to make this happen. But better yet, lets appreciate the fact that EA Canada still doesn't have a clue of what a true hockey game needs to be consistent of...
Keep gameplay where it's at now, revert back to Beta skating, keep goalies where they are now. Goalie was brutal during the beta
Hey everyone. Thanks for buying our product. As a debt of gratitude, we will let you play the actual game you paid for for a whole week sometime in January. Thanks again. See ya next year! Bring money.
Ea is just trolling the community with this to try and prove a point that the gameplay now is better than the beta which overall is true but if u take the beta skating and add it to the current game the game would be great
Since this is only around for a week I have my doubts about EA but, the 19' beta was such a positive step away from the LBing of 18.
