Id agree with you there but players do it when they feel its best,Hetrl thought that was the best time to do it and did, Its not like he sat on the bench and said ok guys next shift breakaway through my legs top cheese, He just went out played the play like any skilled player would.

 

I guarantee you he doesn't do it in a close game.

 

Well no because in a close game would he have a hatty? Would he have the confidence he did in that game? Probably not,But then again in a close game would Rangers D suck as bad as they did that game?

 

The argument is whether the play was showboating or showing up his opponents. If its a play he would not have made in a 2-2 or 3-2 game it is most certainly showboating. There is zero chance he tries that in a close game, regardless of how bad the other teams D is playing.

Apparently he sat on the bench for the rest of the game, so his coach felt the same way I did, that someone was going to take a run at him.

 

If you're an NHL team and you let another NHL team run all over you, your anger should be directed inward.
