To be fair, if you get crushed by a hit, you shouldn't be able to magically hold on to your stick every time. Where's the realism in that?
What it really does: Stick lifts now only work from behind since hooking isn't coded into the game. High Sticking is still allowed. Interference isn't called if you don't injure the person. There are two kinds of AI, blind and god. AIs that replace players who leave and always blind. I don't care how realistic it is. Getting laid the fuck out already takes you out of the play enough without you having to go pick up your stick on top of that
To be fair, there’s no real way to consistently dodge hits in this game like there is in actual hockey. It’s bad enough that players can get injured in a virtual game due to rng, losing your stick is unnecessary and stupid.
