Hello everyone, With The Show coming out in a couple days, I was hoping to get together a list of individuals who would be interested in participating in an online franchise. If you are interested, feel free to post below or send me a PM.
I really enjoy it, but is a bit overwhelming for a casual fan like myself. Unfortunately I do not understand the team building aspect of baseball enough to fully appreciate the depth of franchise mode. Road to the show is excellent, and being able to play the prospect games at the beginning and then deciding whether or not you want to turn pro or go back to school is a nice touch. Have yet to try anything online however. To buy a console for a single game: If you are a hardcore baseball fan and understand everything, then yeah I do not think you would be disappointed. If you are more of a casual fan like myself, perhaps evaluate whether there are a couple other games that make the system worth buying.
Love the game. Definitely a learning curve to it forsure. RTTS is amazing, franchise is good (will get better once I learn a little more) Online is good but hard when you're still learning the game. Overall, it is an excellent game and the presentation is spectacular. Personally, if you aren't a die hard baseball fan, I wouldn't call it a system seller. But if you enjoy baseball, never got to experience The Last of Us on ps3 and enjoy Uncharted games, I'd say those are 3 reasons big enough to influence buying the console.
