    Quincy Carter signs

    Link

I think this was a good pick-up by the Jets. Carter is a good QB. I'm positive he wont start, because they have Pennington, but he will be a great back up.

Very interesting. He is still looking for money from Dallas as well.

I dno, if Pennington has another year like last year where he gets hurt, Quincy Carter could take the Jets somewhere. They are a talented team, but don't ask me why they can't go anywhere. Obviously they are in a tough division with the New England Patriots, but I see them making the playoffs this year.

J E T S, JETS JETS JETS. For the Jets team its more like C H A D, CHAD CHAD CHAD. Chad Pennington is the entire team for the Jets, if he gets injured they are in hot water. Though with the recent addition of Quincy Carter an injury to Pennington this season won't be a terrible loss, but Carter is no Pennington. In Carters 3 years in the NFL he has never once trown more touchdowns than he has Interceptions, which is bad news as far as the QB position in NY goes

What did you expect lol, he is Canadian. The Jets also have a pretty good defense, with the addition of Eric Barton (Linebacker-Raiders).

As I said, I see them being quite productive this year. Then again, I also said my Ducks would win the Stanley Cup in the 2002-2003 season, once the playoffs started...and I did get quite close, but it didn't happen. So prediction could be wrong.

Yea, the Jets usually can field a good team...for whatever reason though they can't ever do anything. We will see how things play out. I am thinking quite a few unexpected teams will make the playoffs this year.

Carter is not a good QB, if he were a good QB the Cowboys wouldnt be starting a 80 year old with alzheimers instead of him.

The Jets blow, they will always blow, i dont care who is QBing that team. They SUCK! They would be in the cellar this year if Miami didnt suck worse.

    J-E-T-S Just End The Season!!

Sorry Shush :) I live in Jets country and I HATE THE JETS :)

LOL! Been hearing this all my life. Carter is a better back-up than Vinny. As long as Pennington stays healthy I don't give a crap. If quincy gets in the game here are his instructions:

"QUINCY, pay attention! Give the ball to curtis and fall down."

Are you really a Faiders fan? :-& That explains your hatred. Too bad they don't play this season.

I would always say that I would take the trip up to Oakland and go to the game. Then I realized how afraid of the Oakland fans I am. :p

Lol, ever sat in the black hole  I could never sit there, I would need thermals, I would be pissing my pants all game long.

Sitting where I sit for the 3-4 games a season that I go to is scary enough, on the Raiders sideline, about 13 rows up, all the beer around me lol.

BTW, I agree with Drake, bring your Jets back over, now that we have gotten our "bad season" out of the way, we will be ready to kick your ass all over the floor again.

I still remember the year we went to the Super Bowl and lost miserabley, we played Jets in the AFC Divisional Round, and whooped their ass. Then we killed the Titans in the Conference, and then got done by the Bucs :(

Hey, after our horrible 4-12 season being just last year, it seems like it was an eternity away to us Raiders fans. At least me anyway.

they didn't let him go because he was bad, the Cowboys let him go because he failed a substance test. He still is a good QB and I think he will fit well in NY. I am no Jets fan but I still think it will work out good.

He's a career back up at best, the only reason the Cowboys made the playoffs was there D and that's it. If they had to rely on Quincy only they would have been in big trouble all year. He will do good in the back up position there and jsut about anywhere but he's not a QB you want leading your team for a whole season.

So you're saying the Cowboys have higher moral standards then the Jets? :)

Seriously, no team is going to cut a guy because of that. Look at how many chances guys like Darrell Russell, Dexter Manley, etc all got. If he could play he would still be a Cowboy. Like CanEhdian said he is just a backup QB at best. He's definitely a better backup QB then the Jets currently have but he's not a starter.
