As PA President i wanted to get feedback from you the players on what you think of the rule changes and the league so far? Please post your responses here
I am just going to answer some of these as I see them and share our point of view to keep everyone on the same page, Anything is up for discussion and we are open ears to any suggestions. In regards to the game times, we know an hour (or less after the game) is a lot of time between games. Saying that if Management wants and teams have all their players they can start early if they BOTH teams agree, no harm there. However games need to be started by 9 and 10 pm ET, unless additional time has been requested etc. We have plans to have another league start on the half hour (9:30 & 10:30) and if teams need an ECU we want those ECU's to still be able to make their other scheduled games to take less stress of management. Again, if we do this and teams request time at the top of the hour, it will be cutting it close for those ECU's to make their 9:30 or 10:30 game. So long story short, we know it is a long wait but we have some reasoning and a plan behind it, hopefully this helps you understand why a little.
I think we should give a game limit for tc players being a roster player means nothin the way it is right now
Cannot put people on the goaline for free kick. You don't see that in real life. Goalie need to kick the ball in 3 seconds. City goalie was taking the full 10-15 secondes before kicking it out vs Sunderland and Us Yesterday.
Not sure if I'm reading you right here...Are you saying the defensive or the offensive team shouldn't be allowed to have people on the goal line for a free kick? They don't do it in real life? Have you ever watched an EPL game? Yes they do. The defensive team goes front post, back post, and the rest lingering around, covering their man. Offense does too, they crowd the Goalie to the highest extent possible without interference while waiting for a cross/shot. As for the Goalie kicking the ball in 3 seconds? The game has a set time for when the GK has to kick it when he's holding the ball. It's 6-8 seconds...If he drops it and dribbles around, then he's time wasting, otherwise? If I'm still under the game timer for holding it? I'll hold it for as long as I physically can to burn out time without being excessive. (Like ragging it in the corner)
A few games into the season, I think we should consider having teams take their own stats. The countdown timer and postgame animations are making it tough to get stats for both teams. I know the concern is that losing teams may get mad and not take stats, but that shouldn't be an issue. If they don't take their own stats for whatever reason (accident or rage) discipline (suspensions, warnings) still apply.
It is incredibly easy to get all the stats. You can press start as soon as the game ends and then gather all the stats needed. My last video shows this. I got the match stats, the goals and minutes, then every category for both teams, with 15 ish seconds to spare.
Then yes, that makes it easier. I know it may seem common sense to some, but maybe we should/could put out an education video on how to quickly take stats?
Um Every premier league game that has a free kick anywhere close to the box has at least 1 person if not more on the goal line to watch the side the keeper isnt on Second There is a set time limit for how long you can hold the ball before the game auto kicks it. In real soccer you will see some goalies in a close game even take a yellow card for time wasting to kill the clock. Its all strategy that comes into play if you are winning late
Bosman rule. Randomly assigned people go into a Pool where owners have 72h to silentbid on them. Highest bid = WINNER of the player and the salary count against cap. People who don't get bid are assigned in order that we decide randomly start of season. 1.ManU 2. ManCity.3.........9. Everton in snake order!! Opinions?!!!
We could possibly do your first option but not to sure. Once we have the reserves/u21 running, randomly assigned guys wont be allowed to play on the first team for that season. They could be called up as an ECU for the first team one time a week (and i believe 5 times for the season?)however. I dont think we should implement a rule just for beta season 1. We will not be doing snake order. Tris has a random assign system in place. It looks at the person's primary position and which TC/Reserve/U21 team needs that position most. I don't think this will ever change.
What about adding more stats so trips can make a power ranking page? It won't take any longer when you are capturing pictures and it could attract more players. I know Tris10 could code up some cool players of the week pages for next season if we ask him nice enough.
