Defensive mindset players deserves recognition and this tread is there for that. Most of players are thinking only about points but I think its not fair to judge on that because offensive mindset players often do the most mistakes too. Have a great playoffs and good luck to everyone.
Unfortunately the game doesn’t track takeaways properly/ consistently, and giveaways can be misleading because the player just might not have really touched the puck much (leading to low giveaways). But this list is not a bad idea.
Of course, there is a difference between comparing an offensive defender and one who is defensive too. However, this list allows you to compare Stay at home defensemen, which is not bad. It's a hard job to do in a line because when you get scored of loose it's often because you were beaten as the last man and when the line wins it's rarely seen thanks to you. We still sacrifice a lot for the team you have to accept his role, I would be able to do better offensively. So I appreciate even if it's relative, to see this statistic!
