    OFFSEASON TIMELINE

    Week Zero — Wednesday, February 09 thru Saturday, February 12
    • The deadline for all S18 NHL Owners are given the opportunity to state their interest in returning for the coming season (S19).
      • The deadline is set for Sunday, February 06 at 20:00:00 ET.
      • Extended due to lack of interest.
    • Commissioner Staff will review the new Ownership applications and conduct interviews during the LGHL Playoffs and finalize them by Tuesday, February 08.
      • Free-agent players who retire are eligible to un-retire ANYTIME during the season as long as the sign-up window is open.
      • Players who are under contract for this season and retire can ONLY UNRETIRE prior to the retirement deadline of 17:59:59 ET on Friday, February 18. After the deadline, those players will not be eligible to return to the league until the following season.

    • On Thurs Feb 10: S19 NHL Owner league offers are submitted and owners are given tools. Owners can begin their management selections and player contract opt-outs (roster drops).
    • Players NEED to be approved by Staff prior to being sent an offer to manage.

    • Players NEED to be signed up for the season in order to accept a management offer in our system.
    • The Constitutional Review Period begins.

    • On Thurs Feb 10: The Resign Period begins at 00:00:00 ET (129-hour window)
      • Teams can only re-sign FOUR players on their roster (each league).
      • Players that were won in NHL bidding cannot be re-signed in the AHL.
      • Randomly assigned players cannot be resigned.
      • Teams cannot trade for someone and then resign them.
    Week One — Sunday, February 13 thru Saturday, February 19
    • On Mon Feb 14: The re-sign period approval posting ends at 17:59:59 ET
    • On Tues Feb 15: The re-sign period ends at 08:59:59 ET
    • On Tues Feb 15: @Tris10 dumps S18 rosters keeping only players under contract for S19+ (by 12:00:00 ET)
    • On Tues Feb 15: The trade window opens (3-day window) at 17:00:00 ET (or after roster dumps)
    • On Wed Feb 16: Roster-Contract Drops close at 16:59:59 ET
    • On Fri Feb 18: The retirement window closes at 16:59:59 ET
    • On Fri Feb 18: The trade window closes at 17:59:59 ET
    • On Fri Feb 18: S41 NHL Entry Draft at 20:00:00 ET
    • On Sat Feb 19: S41 NHL Entry Draft contracts are issued
    • On Sat Feb 19: The trade window re-opens (48-hour window)
    Week Two — Sunday, February 20 thru Saturday, February 26
    • On Sun Feb 20: The trade window re-closes at 17:59:59 ET
    • On Sun Feb 20: S19 NHL Bidding begins at 21:00:00 ET until Wed Feb 23 (71-hour window)
    • On Wed Feb 23: S19 AHL Bidding begins at 21:00:00 ET until Sat Feb 26 (71-hour window)
    • On Sat Feb 26: S19 CHL Bidding begins at 21:00:00 ET until Tues Mar 01 (71-hour window)
    • Random Assignments for the AHL will be issued on Sun Feb 27
    • Random Assignments for the CHL will be issued on Wed Mar 02
    • Trade windows will open for each league once bidding has ended and all contracts are issued as 1-season contracts. Any deals involving NHL/AHL must wait until the AHL bidding session is completed.
    S40 Opening Night — Sunday, February 27
