Imagine putting you & 5 of your teammates in a situation where you can have a 25+ ping advantage over 97% of the players you play in the run of a season and then acting like that ping advantage is irrelevant to your success? That's a level of delusion that I'm not even sure I've seen in LG before.... and matthoot was in the league. Why can't people just own it? If I was a west player I would have been exploiting that advantage for multiple seasons now. It's a shitty but effective strategy. It boosted your personal stats to set a bunch of records to make your virtual ego feel good. Neat. Making up a bunch of excuses like, "Well we played playoff teams but for some reason they didn't want to play their top lines against us with a 25 ping disadvantage" just makes you look like fucking morons.

The real kicker is westies make up what, 20% of LG? Less than that? So there is inherently even more of an advantage to run a west line than to try running an east line. If the league was 50/50 than it's a crapshoot. Since there's so few west guys compared to east, it's just a totally uneven set of circumstances if they choose to only play home games.

There is a thing I never understood in this league. Why woul you play your first line vs a third winning 10-1? Then your third line play the first line your first line should take and lose. That make your team getting 2 easy points but lose 2 points too. Only reason I see a team doing that is when they think their first line can t compete vs other first line. First line playing third does not seem a good team strategy to me at all. Rather play 1 vs 1 3 vs 3 and try get the 4 points. If you think your team is the hest that is how you should do... that kind of strategy need you to have a very good second line
As a former west coast player, playing on east when you're west is just as aids as playing west when you're east. The only issue is east players are used to playing on east servers. When I was west I got used to playing on east servers. Now that I'm on east, I admit I hate playing on west servers. However, I just find the whole west coast/east coast server thing hypocritical. You don't see west players complaining because they're at a disadvantage every time they don't host. This is really EA's problem. The way it is now, there's always going to be a player/players at a 1/2 second delay. I shouldn't have to think about what part of the United States/Canada my opponent is playing from. It's 2018 for fuck's sakes. As for nav scrub hunting, it is what it is. 99% of LG doesn't want to play Colorado when they're at home. You can't blame nav, but you have to take the fact that he didn't play very good lines under consideration when looking at his season stats.
Good point @eastons17 . The opposite is also true in this league I find. Top teams tend to put top lines against bottom teams. Interesting how it all works out.
How exactly is it hypocritical? I don't understand that comment but I've seen it a few times. If I was an east player playing with 5 west players against west opponents, it would be comparable for sure. But east players don't go out of their way to build an east line and then only play home games in order to take advantage of their 20+ ping advantage for 24 out of 27 games. If anyone is hypocritical, it's the west guys who are complaining about being on east connection as individuals and then teaming up to only play on west connection in order to incapacitate their opponents all season.
East coast players doesnt need to worry about creating east lines since 85+% are all east coast players in LG.

Lines don't mean shit since it's up to the owners who they want to send out. I can't blame Nav for playing mostly home games since it's on his connection. I wish I can play 95% of my games on west but my team doesn't have a West coast line. Can't call anyone a scrub hunter if they face 3rd lines but you can call them scrub hunters when they play non playoff teams.
