Development Season 13 WJC Information

Season 13 of WJC is upon us beautiful people of LG This is an informational thread as well as an open forum to ask any questions. AS standard we follow the rules listen in the LG Rule book for all situations including game time procedures rosters etc... The only thing that changes is a couple rules come playoffs in terms of scheduling because we have 2 Best of 5 series rounds which the other branches of LG do not.
Here are a few F.A.Q's and other information.

What is LGWJC?
League Gaming World Junior Championship is a tournament meant for CHL players who didnt qualify for CHL Playoffs or are eliminated in the first round. If your team makes it to the second round of playoffs as a TC or roster player it doesnt matter your are not allowed to play in WJC. No Exceptions.

Am i eligible for WJC?
TO be eligible for WJC you must be on a chl roster/TC at the end of the season. This means that if you are called up to the ahl/nhl prior to the end of the season you CAN NOT play WJC. There will be no exceptions made to this rule this is done for a reason.

How many teams are in the tournament?
This changes on a season by season basis based on the number of sign ups and ownership applications. The number can be anywhere from 8-12 teams

How does the medal round work?
The medal round consists of 2 stages the semi-final round which will be a best of 5 series played on Sunday may 12th (3 Games) and Monday May 13th (2 Games If necessary). the 4 teams that make the round will be seeded 1-4 based on Group play points. The 1 seed plays the 4 and the 2 plays the 3.
Then the finals is a match up of The two winners facing off in the gold medal series and the 2 losers will play in the bronze medal series.

WJC Season 13 Draft Order
This draft is a Snake Order, meaning the 2nd round will start in reverse order (17 - Kazakhstan, 32 - Finland). This is utilized to keep the draft fair and equal amosgt all teams!

What does the interface for the draft look like? As a draftee will I be able to watch people come and go live on the site or will I have to wat h a livestream or something

 

Underneath the WJC shoutbox, there should be a green tab titled "draft", click on this tab to view the draft and current picks live. But also just keep an eye on the shoutbox to keep up with the discussion and ask questions. The draft will be updated live ever pick for every and anyone to view. But as for media, I do not know if anyone will be covering it.

 

You can actually view it from the LGCHL shoutbox aswell, just the draft is labelled "WJ Draft". It will show you the same picks and such but they'll be two completely different chats.

 

Also @Schwifty7 on nothumbs podcast will be doing a live draft show as well
