I won 2 Olympic Gold Medals. I played Wide Receiver in the NFL for 11 seasons. I averaged over 20 yards per catch in my first 6 seasons. I'm still the "Only" person to have a Super Bowl Ring & Olympic Gold Medal! I have not been inducted to the "Hall of Fame" , Yet !!! (Well overdue in my opinion) Who am I ? Bonus: What was my Nickname ?
No, that was a tough one, but being in St. Louis during the Ram's Super Bowl runs and the "greatest show on turf" media explosion, they were always talking about Holt and Bruce and they (media) would always refer back to some of the fastest WR's in NFL history... of course, Bob Hayes was always mentioned (along with Willie Gault and some other's with sprinting abilities)
I have played in the NHL for 10+ years. I have only played for one team my whole career. I have won 1 Stanley Cup in the last 20 years. I was born in Montreal, Quebec, Canada.
I wasn't giving the exact facts Kev. But yeah I think he has won 2. TMG, you guess it right. What part gave it to you? I would have to guess the only played for one team?
well i would tend to think then there are many right answers to your question then, i.e. yzerman comes to mind for one.
Yeh, originally I had played for East, and that would have taken Yzerman out of it. Then I had.... I won 2 Stanley Cup's in the 1990's playing with a current star for the New York Rangers...that would have given it up as well.
Alrighty, here is a new one: I made by Olympic debut in the recent 2004 Athens Olympics, for the United States. I competed for the US Women's National Football (ok MP..soccer) team. I scored the game winning goal to clinch the goal for the U.S. in the 112th minute.
I'll throw a second one out while we're looking for the Soccer answer! MLB! Who is the only Hall of Famer to play his "entire" MLB career under one manager? Also, do you know the manager?
100% correct. I had the name in my head, I knew Abby, but I couldn't think of Wambach. Then I had to go and look on ESPN.com to find her lol. Good job, as for your baseball one...I am thinking my ass off here, and I can't think of it? Is it pretty before my time?
ANOTHER ONE: (Football) I Grew up in pittsburgh, pa. I was an All-American in 1967 and 1968. I was Drafted in 1969 in the third round. I was the first back to gain 1000 yards in 14 game season. I ran a kick back 105 yards which at the time was the 2nd longest of all time.. When I retired I was accused (in 1982) of conspiracy and trafficing cocaine which was later oveturned (in 1986) by the FLORIDA supreme court because evidence was not allowed to in the original trial that could have proven me innocent. When playing I was an unstoppable back on the most unstoppable team...
nah it was just enough dorsett came to mind because of pittsburg but he didn't have a nose candy problem i ever heard about.
