The Belleville Finale. A Timeline (3 of 3)

Week 5

I write a Belleville Chronicles. If you read the first letter of every sentence it spells out the following:

"TRADE ME RIGHT FUCKING NOW SCOOTZ"

Scootz: "Help me out and I'll get you guys good trades..."

What could go wrong!?

We help him out. I'm a fucking moron so I REALLY help. With me, Ottawa secures two 2-1 wins in a row. Now he wants to keep me. I'm a fucking idiot.

Ottawa discord: "Let's go boyz! Go 7-2 next week and we are right back in this race!"

They forfeit lose their very next game (LO FUCKING L), then lose three in a row. (JFC KILL ME)



Week 6: Bye bye belleville


I volunteer to play one last Belleville game before I get called up. I am an absolute fucking stupid goddamn moron. At this point we are on our 4th? 5th? Gm AGM combo: Vrain and Twisted clown.

Everyone is traded or waived. I am literally the only one left. God fucking help me.

I have never seen so many 3 on 2s and 4 on 2s against me in my life. Partway through the third I think 2 of the forwards start purposely turning it over just to watch us have to fight off more odd man rushes while they sip on bourbon and laugh.



Still week 6: The Big leagues!



1st NHL game that week.
I play with a different crew than I played with last week. We similarly face countless odd man rushes. At one point I lose my cool and ask "Why are we giving up ANOTHER 4 ON 2"
They score. I look wistfully at their raised arms and wonder what that feels like.

2nd game: One player no shows. Another player is so bad that he's solely responsible for 4 goals against us and gets cursed out by half the team. We lose by 4.

3rd game: We get called for two absolute bullshit penalties late in the 3rd and give up a goal. We lose 3-2.

Scootz to the team: "Hey I'm gonna give you all a trade if you want, give me some team names."

Now that the NHL is also going into firesale mode I obviously want to get the fuck out.

I give him 5 teams...I give him 3 more just in case.




Today

I get called up to the sens.

That is not a fucking trade.

That is NOT a fucking TRADE!

I ask, "Hey you're still trading me right?"

I get zero response.

I swear to fucking christ on a cross, crippled and nailed, I can't take it.

All bc I didn't remember that this fucking game was a fucking digital download and bc I tried to help instead of cursing out management or sandbagging it weeks ago.

 

This was riveting, thank you for your sacrifice.

Clicked on my old Belleville chronicles thread for fun and see this.

I made the belleville chronicles for fun and everyone knew it was a joke. People had a blast with it. It was going to be my last season. We were a shit show so I had fun with it. In-game I had fun, didn't get in a fights with anyone. You, me and I think 1 other dude ended up with some friction over the way you behaved in game and in the discord server. I dont remember it being a huge deal enough for you to take a weak shot at me when you knew I had left the league already.

 

Yea Scootz at the time laughed in my face and told me he purposely wouldn't trade me just to fuck up my last season and punish me for these Belleville Chronicles. I played all of my AHL games every week, played my call up games every week. Readjusted my schedule every week to help out.

I asked him why I would play for someone who was such a giant dick. Then made sure to say I'd keep playing every game as I always had. He issued the ban for the initial comment. Used that to claim I was refusing to play and had his buddy on the committee immediately kill any appeal I tried to do. It was going to be my last season anyway but it obviously sucks anytime you get screwed by someone who takes advantage of their position
