Next up are the RWs. Not going to lie, it's a bit of a shocker. I feel there is a key name missing, but then again, this is all based on stats not skill. Anyways, here are the top 5 RWs (Statistically): 5 - @Schwatz83 If I'm being completely honest I didn't know who Schwatz was until I ran the numbers. He quietly put together a very solid season for the Phantoms. His above-average offensive talent and exceptional defensive ability pushed him into the top 5 over some big names. 4 - @Mild Spice Spice was an offensive force this season for Belleville. His solid defensive numbers show why he reached 22 wins. He also rarely hurt his team only averaging 21 seconds of penalty time per game. 3 - @redsox162 Sox is the 2nd to a dynamic duo of himself and @Mooseballs04. It's fitting that Moose was the 2nd best statistical LW. ANyways, despite having exceptional playmaking stats, I personally recognize Sox for his defensive play, which is justified in his numbers above. Sox ranked inside the Top 10% for goals against. 2 - @The AB Show I'm sure this doesn't come as a surprise to most people. AB is mainly known for his offensive presence, but he also is a defensive force. Not to mention he played on 125 ping during the first two rounds of the playoffs. Good thing these stats are from the regular season. 1 - @SouPerSaiyan Edging AB by 0.26 Overall, Soup comes in as the best statistical RW this season. His stellar offensive stats rank him in the top 10% of RWs. But what really stands out are the defensive stats. Most wingers usually leave the defense to the center, but Soup does not. Pairing Soup with @skyre5, arguably the best defensive center in the A, it explains why this line ranks in the top 4% in GA. As per usual here are the top 25 RWs: Keep in mind, I pick the best 2 of 3 stats for each category (Offense, Defense, Team Play). Then I average those 6 to get a player overall. I know there will be some comments about Pearson, but his defensive game really hurt him compared to the 5 just listed. Defense and Goalies (probably) will be posted later this week when I have more time.
Pearson is the best RW in the AHL and that's just a fact almost lead the AHL in scoring 3 seasons in a row
If you read the title, it says "Statistically". Everyone knows Pearson is the best RW if not the best forward in the A, but he isn't the best statistically. Again these posts have nothing to do with skill. There are a ton of factors that arent measured that impact stats. Had his defensive category been even 5 points better he would be #1.
So you're saying @Pearson x 70 got screwed because he didn't have @ChiSouthSiderr playing D for him the entire season. Tough break.
