DVD - Donnie Darko - simply an amazing movie, I recommend it to anyone. Great story and performances.

DVD - The Thin Red Line - a fantastic, philosophical war film.

DVD - Moulin Rouge - Should have been a best picture winner. An outstanding film that was simply too ahead of its time.

DVD - Wag The Dog - one of my political favorites

DVD - Any Given Sunday - IMO the best football movie ever filmed - the various storylines are EXCELLENT

DVD - Eddie Izzard: Dressed to Kill - the smartest and funniest comedian alive. Check this guy out if you haven't already.

Game - Need For Speed Underground - haven't even had a chance to play it yet.

Game - Madden 2004 - haven't even had a chance to play this one either.

 

Gibson Les Paul Classic and some cash

I was fortunate enough to get my sons everything they asked for. Watching them go wild Christmas morning was more than enough for me. 8)

 

Same here man. I always buy myself whatever I want throughout the year, so I'm always very hard to shop for when December rolls around... so I just tell people to buy extra stuff for my wife or kid instead. My son's birthday is on 12/13 though, so the house is getting overrun with toys at the moment.

My wife did get me that Logitech wireless XBox controller though (I love it), a new top loader camera bag for the Canon dSLR I bought myself last month =P~ , and the Indiana Jones Trilogy WS DVD set. I bought myself a 2nd XBox, so that I could mod my original one (2yrs old) and put a chip and 120GB HD in it.

In-law's gave me a portable 7" widescreen DVD player (which my son will get the most use out of), a mini-refrigerator for my downstairs office and home theater, $100 gift card to Lowe's and some other stuff not worth mentioning.

 

Very cool guys, I unfortunately don't have any kids yet. I would love to see my kid open something on Christmas morning. But until then I can spoil my wife with goodies.

And about the birthday close to Christmas, I feel your pain, my wife's birthday is in January and it does tend to hurt my finances this time of year.... but its all good, I love seeing her open gifts.
