To all you Bostonian Looks like A-Rod ain't goin Northeast after all. Sorry, but personally I can't stand Boston teams lol. I hate New England Patriots, I hate the Red Sox, I hate the Celtics, and I especially hate the Bruins . Only time I ever wanted Boston Red Sox to win was when they were playing the Yankees last year in the MLB Playoffs. Sorry, but I hate New York more than Boston when it comes to sports. Anyway, luckily no A-Rod for you guys. Your team is already good enough, don't complain lol.
thats bull poo. Boston.......... argh........... they just can't do anything right!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Are y ou kidding me Virtual??? They picked up Curt Schilling, they got a great closer in Keith Foulke. And I believe they also picked somebody else up. If I were you I would take that remark back.
i am actually talking about the best player in the league here. Schillings alright but he's old now and is incapable of what he did as a phillie.
He helped the Diamondbacks win the World Series in 2001 (World Series Co-MVP) and the only time in his career he won more than 17 games (22-6 in 2001, 23-7 in 2002) in a season occurred in Arizona. I think that oushadows what he did in Baltimore, Houston OR Philadelphia. LOL He is still a quality pitcher. Check this out also: Biography A five-time All-Star coming off two straight years with 20-plus wins, Curt is one of the premier pitchers in the game and forms one of baseball's best duos with teammate Randy Johnson. Curt won a career-high 23 games last season for Arizona, running his career win total to 155. Originally signed by the Boston Red Sox, Curt spent three seasons in Baltimore and one with Houston before he emerged as a 14-game winner for the Phillies in 1992. In 1993 he improved to 16 wins and earned NLCS MVP honors during Philadelphia's run to the N.L. pennant. A double-digit winner eight times, Schilling finally earned a World Series ring in 2001 and shared series MVP honors with Johnson. Curt has led the league in strikeouts twice and finished in the top 10 seven times. Although Johnson has edged him out for the Cy Young Award the last two years, Curt earned the Players Choice Award for N.L. Most Outstanding Pitcher in 2001 and 2002.
yah that a-rod deal wouldve been great i guess but Nomar is probably the 2nd or 3rd best short stop in baseball so you cant really complain
yeah, with A-Rod you get the best shortstop in baseball, but like MP said, Nomar is 2nd or 3rd best, and you get what I believe to be the best hitter in all of baseball right now in MANNY
If the Red sox were to complete this trade, it would help them out money wise and that is about it. Because with Manny i beleive being the second highest paid baseball player behind A-rod, and im sure Nomar gets payed his share, right now they are paying more then they would pay for A-rod. But, in my opinion, they would be losing two great hitters for the best hitter, which im not sure is the best way to go. Either way though, the red sox will still lose in the AL championships because of the curse .
well if the A-rod deal wouldve went through they wouldve picked up magglio ordonez so actually they would have been a better team but either way it is no big loss for them.... how bout those orioles btw...picked up Tejada and Javy Lopez (probably one of the top 3 catchers in baseball)
