    Too many stats to en

hey guys - i've heard some people mention that the stat entry is a little exhausting.

any thought to toning this down, if it proves to be "too much"?

No way. You guys knew upon signing up that it would be this way as baseball is a sport all about stats. I can do stats in under 5 minutes and you only have 3 games a week. If you can't handle the stats in my opinion thats just too bad.

Nah they aren't to bad. Took me 5-10 minutes to enter in the stats. That is what baseball is though, a stat machine. One of the main reasons I love the game so much.

Just as a reminder, if you have a zero in a box, you don't need to input a 0 - only with PIT and ORD does there need to be numbers. That may help with the time.

Even with the printout, you don't have to fill in every box. Just the ones that are neccesary. Also, you should be happy you are putting in stats - it means you won!! :)

Hey, if some of you guys think this is bad, then you should have participated in the NBA league, as honestly, I think that is twice as bad as the MLB league. I mean if you really want to get down to it, at least the MLB scoreboard calculates it all by itself, the NBA scoreboard wasn't really any calculations. I just confused myself, sorry.

Anyway, it really isn't that bad, even if you do have to write them down and then enter them on your computer. If you have 30 minutes to play your game, then you should easily have 5-10 minutes for stats.

mnky, I guess I shouldn't be complaining because going by my first series, I may never have to stats anyway. Got my ass kicked.

It might not be that bad once we get used to it. However, I'm used to Links where everything is done for us. All we have to do is sign-up on XSN. Thanks again Tris and Jmarks ;)

It actually takes longer to enter the stats for football than it does for the baseball. At least all your guys are there in an organized fashion and you don't have to select each guy from a drop down box and enter everything in from there. It is actually not that bad. I have to write them down first, then enter them in and it only takes about 5-10 minutes max to do this. Not bad at all.

In fact, I don't mind entering them in, win or loss. I just want them entered in correctly.

Easiest to hardest calc's (team sports):

    1. NHL (some low scoring games you can get entered in under a minute)
    2. MLB (as long as you don't have a ton of pinch hitters and relievers, this should be fairly easy)
    3. NFL (not as many stats as MLB, but entry is more tedious)
    4. NBA (OMG, this sucked. I almost didn't mind losing sometimes. It was more a problem with the game itself and the way it displayed stats, than the calc.)

I put a lot of thought into making the MLB CAL as simple as possible and i think i've cut every corner possible to save the end-user time. Having the starters at the top, and the default batting order display in order, Also anything empty is assumed as "zero'. As for baseball, i don't think you can get a more effient cal (no way we could do it like we do for NHL)

Sad part for me is that I lost to both Skater and Golden Gophers, so you at least got to input over me lol.

Skater, you didn't exactly try to win 2 games lol.
