Hate to say it, but I told you so. Earlier reports are saying no doubles online with 4 seperate XBox's.

well i ended up talking to a few developers from MS Studios about this. I was sworn to secrecy until the release. They said that something happened that they hadn't anticipated. With the doubles team of jackBURTON & woobwoob, there would be absolutely no stopping them. The skill of these two tags combined would be enough to crash the LIVE network, so they had to take the functionality away. I offered to find another partner, but they didn't trust me not to eventually team up with jackBURTON, so sorry guys.

BROTHERS OF POWER are just too much skill for anyone to handle.

I asked this of Ross Erickson, Product Planner and Developer for Top Spin, in the Operation Sports tennis forum:

This seems pretty disingenuous to me. Crimson Skies has 16 different people flying around in 3d space with ordinance to track as well and they can't handle 4 boxes with 1 thing moving in 3d and 4 in 2d?

Yeah, I don't get it, unless their net code is horrible.

It was like I was telling woob earlier - wolfenstein has 16 separate boxes linked in online play w/big maps.

BUT - after playing the Topspin single player version - I can see that the speed would have been affected by that many boxes.

Nah, singles play is still a blast online. I played for 6 straight hours last night. Can't put it down. Thumb is killing me....

Pong is that good? I might have to rent it. How is the XSN set up?

Outlaw Volleyball is Pong. That game had endless rallys.

This game is far from a sim, but it's a helluva lot of fun and does require some tennis knowledge and skill (if you want to be good).

Not sure on the XSN setup yet, as the XSN website is being update for Top Spin and Amped 2 at the moment.
