Week 1 Eastern Atlantic Division Review

Hello everyone, this is a week one review, not a power rankings post. Not including this weekend trades. Each team can be in more than one GOTW as it is decided by similar record/points. Don't get offended by this as it is just a review.


Eastern Atlantic Division:

1) Providence Bruins: (7-2-0 14 Points)
The Bruins run by @The Broche and @skyre5 started their season near perfect ending week 1 with a 6 game win streak. Outscoring opponents 31 to 18. Being led offensively by their 5 million dollar man @Pearson x 70 who went 3-0-0 with 11 points and @Kometstickboy96 who also went 3-0-0 with 10 points. With week one behind the Bruins we should expect the same type of dominance next week.

Week 2 Expectations: I think it is safe to expect another 7-2-0 week from the Bruins.

2) Hartford Wolf Pack: (7-2-0 14 Points)
The Wolf Pack are run by @Im Tryggered and @Mike Shea 19 watched their season start off just how they wanted, tied for first. Ending the week with a 5 game win streak. They outscored opponents 28 to 20. They were led offensively by their Draft pick player @xTrav89 who went 2-1-0 with 10 points, @I Eden l who went 5-0-0 with an 81% and a 1.99 GAA. The Wolf Pack look to keep their placement in the top 2 seeds during week 2.

Week 2 Expectations: 6-3-0.

3) Bridgeport Sound Tigers: (5-2-2 12 Points)
The Sound Tigers are run by @Vahey x 19 and @Manship x 91 started off their season better then expected. They outscored their opponents 31 to 24 they finished the week on a 2 game win streak. The Tigers who made a late Sunday move to get @xMIMICm who went 2-0-1 with 8 points. The Tigers were also led offensively by @Manship x 91 who went 2-1-0 with 10 points. The Tigers look to repeat another solid week but without 3 key players as they are going on vacations it may be hard to repeat the success we saw in week 1.

Week 2 Expectations: 5-3-1

GOTW: Bridgeport (5-2-2) @ Milwaukee (6-3-0) Monday 6/15 @ 8:30 PM EST


4) Springfield Thunderbirds: (5-3-1 11 Points)
The Thunderbirds run by @Mr WorldWlde 69 and @Br0midas had a solid week earning themselves the 4 seed which would be the last playoff spot in the division . They outscored opponents 31 to 27 they finished the week on a 1 game losing streak. The Thunderbirds were led by @Turtle x 53 who went 2-1-0 with 10 points and @xLTD23x who went 2-0-1 with 9 points. After the Tbirds spent 3mil on @Perrilyzer1 who has now been traded to the Sound Tigers and called up by the Islanders who will be the 2nd goalie in Springfield? Will it be @StonewallSieve, either way it makes it a little unclear how they will do in Week 2.

Week 2 Expectations: 3-6-0

GOTW: Iowa (4-3-2) @ Springfield (5-3-1) Monday 6/15 @ 9:30 PM EST


5) Charlotte Checkers: (4-4-1 9 Points)
The Checkers are ran by @Val The Rat and @Baaacks saw their team have a very average week 1 and were outscored by opponents 34 to 31 they ended the week on a 2 game losing streak.. However they had some positives as they were led offensively by @lxChowder71xl who went 2-1-0 with 12 points and @jeff0012 who went 2-1-0 with 10 points. As the Checkers hope to have a better week I think we can expect them to jump to the 4th seed after week 2.

Week 2 Expectations: 5-4-0

GOTW: Charlotte (4-4-1) @ Manitoba (4-4-1) Monday 6/15 @ 9:30 PM EST


6) Hershey Bears: (3-3-3 9 Points)
The Bears are run by @Studz x 7 and @Verathy who had even more of an average week than Charlotte and were outscored by opponents 32 to 23 they ended week 1 on a 1 game winning streak. Studz and the revenge tour were led offensively by @Verathy who went 1-2-0 with 7 points and @Go Bar South23 who went 1-0-2 with 6 points. The Bears look to jump back to being a top team in week 2.

Week 2 Expectations: 4-4-1

GOTW: Hershey (3-3-3) @ San Antonio (3-6-0) Tuesday 6/16 @ 8:30 PM EST (better see @Studz x 7 vs @Pelley_ )

7) Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins: (3-6-0 6 Points)
The Penguins are run by @V 4 T T Y and @Murda Dreams who saw their team struggle in week 1, they were outscored 38 to 23 and ended week 1 on a 2 game losing streak. They were however led by @SLAP_Train who was the only player who went above .500. Slap went 2-1-0 2 points and @rileyaddicted who went 1-2-0 with 8 points.

Week 2 Expectations: Another 3-6-0 week.

GOTW: San Antonio (3-6-0) @ Wilkes Barre Scranton (3-6-0) Tuesday 6/16 @ 8:30 PM EST


8) Lehigh Valley Phantoms: (2-6-1 5 Points)
The Phantoms are ran by @Sportfreak114 and @BADxLARRY, they saw the team the put together struggle to win close games as 4 of their total losses were in 1 goal games. They were outscored by opponents 32 to 28, they ended week 1 on a 7 game losing streak. They were led by @NewMapleLeafs who went 2-1-0 with 11 points and @Duky who also went 2-1-0 with 11 points. With week 2 coming up the Phantoms expect more from the @Boogie x6 and @Sportfreak114 line.
