What are you listening to?

Needed to make a thread to talk about different muscians that some people might not of even heard of.. I personally just downloaded the new nin cd called the slip for free off their website and its amazing.. Also just picked up the new disturbed album which also is amazing

 

Lately ive been listening to slightly stoopid like crazy. they got some great songs.

A lot of the songs are about drugs and stuff but after a tough day of work or something these are great songs to listen. chill as hell.

2 other bands i listen to non stop are NOFX and (hed) PE. (hed) PE will have you wanting to fight some mother****ers in no time.

slipknot- Heavy, but they always seem to keep their songs catchy. (and stone sour is pretty good too)

Story of the Year- High energy, if you havent heard "in the shadows" check it.

As i lay dying- you pretty much have to like scream vocals to not hate this band , instrumental masterminds

Saosin- probally the softest band that i really enjoy.

well im a fan of all kinds of music. I can listen to and respect music in almost every genre. except emo stuff. cant stand it. This whole emo movement as a whole needs to be done with. but thats a whole other topic that pisses me off, so we wont go there.

 

u dont like emo, come on, they got some good songs.

I just downloaded Rush's Moving Pictures album. Which is great because it has my favorite songs by Rush, Tom Sawyer, and Red Barchetta.

I've also bought two albums by Nirvana.. Nevermind and Incesticide, buth are very good.

I also bought Violator by Depeche Mode, and for those who don't know, Depeche is a part of the New Wave/ Electronic movement of the late 80s, 90s and into the 00s.

My music tastes change daily though, today I'll want to listen to hard rock like Van Halen, some Zeppelin and Deep Purple. Then the next day i'll want to listen to easier listening stuff like The Beach Boys, Genesis and INXS.

In the last 5-7 months I have become addicted to music. I signed up for the unlimited rhapsody service. its like 15 bucks a month and their music catalog is HUGE.
