What would you like to see in NHL 15?

As a goalie, I would like to control the skater that went on the ice during a delayed penalty. Never understood why we couldn't in the first place.

 

I would also like for them to take out auto fighting after a clean hit. However if they leave it in, give an instigator penalty, for a dirty hit, no instigator. Oh and bring back the DANGLER build.

 

Be a puck mode.

 

In hockey the better team doesn't win 99% of the time. If they did, the Blackhawks would be in the Finals right now.

 

For line changes each player could have three builds to choose from, like COD with loadouts. That way you would have to manage your Players energy and rest different builds...

 

Custom goalie helmets, authentic goalie masks, and revamp goalie animations and controls

 

A 4th slot for the hockey shop? Equal number for caps ( If they keep them - example wrist shot power / accuracy is 95 on a sniper - goalies glove hand only maxes out at 94...on ANY build ) Echoing brownfairy's statement - more options for equipment for the goalies. I am a goalie - i'm biased. But players need more in the way if equipment etc, as well for sure. The animations for the skater when holding the line they bounce off the boards before the puck arrives when trying to hold it in. For goalies the animation of turning to the side to try and scoop up the puck with your glove when a turd comes in from the point.

 

That'd actually be really cool, never even thought of that

So many people have already covered the basics. EA has to be aware of some of these incredibly terrible flaws within the gameplay of OTP. Hopefully it gets addressed.

As as for something that hasn't been mentioned et that I have spoken to a number of people about is having multiple player builds for a position. Not just one build at each. Kind of implement, "classes" like the COd franchise does. But nothing else COD related. That franchise has crashed and burned worse than Anything I have ever seen.

 

As a defenseman, it is annoying when someone uses the deke you anticipated the entire time, and then when you throw your poke check in a planned timely fashion, you somehow miss? It's like the NHL engine treats a deke as a magic trick and the puck disappears until the deke is over. Poke checks are entirely worhtless, good forecheckers and defenseman use stick lifts.

 

With how slow the game is goals would never occur against good teams if stuff didnt squeak by poke checks. If the game speed was faster and anticipating things was harder I would agree with you.

The poke check isnt really that bad either, it could be tuned but thank god its not as overpowered as 13.

 

A bright pink helmet for goalies...

I've had the same pink pads for 2 years but no helmet matches them.

 

I haven't even used a poke check in a few months. Just little nudges or stick lifts because I thought the poke was that awful. You make a fair point about the game speed and it is very easy to anticipate what forwards will do, options are limited.

 

Please no more one handed bs when trying to do a quick one touch pass or shot, and it would be nice if my guy at least makes attempts to pick up passes along the boards instead of letting it go right by him
