Difference is that Official Match, you must use your created character that you are using offline in Career Mode. Exhibiton you can use any character. Basically anybody on the game.
I believe so, I haven't been able to try it yet, because I don't have a gamertag. Luckily a guy I know online has told me all about them all online, so I just asked him Tris10's question and he told me answer straight away lol!
It says in the book exactly what they are. But tis to the degree, an Offical match counts towards your overall ranking in the world. The exhibition match only to your online stats. Its listed in the back of the instruction book in the xbox live section.
oh so I could lose my #1 ranking in the offline game if I lose enough official matches. Kinda neat, I guess
Official matches: can't invite friends, can't adjust sets/games, must use created player Exhibition: can play against friends, can setup any combination of sets/games you want, can play with either a created player or a pro. Both game types have their own scoreboards.
Yup, and also If you play an Official Match it goes to BOTH scoreboards, and if you play an exhibition match it only goes to the "Singles Stats" board.
The reason that I doing official matches is because I heard they are having real Xbox sponsored tourneys, to win prizes. And to get in them, you need somewhat of a decent ranking. So I would love to do that and get a feel of the excitement that I used to have doing it for real years ago.
