Everyone has usernames and xbox live handle names and for the past year people become assosiated with that name, and that becomes their identity. For me it's only been a short few that i i've grown to know and call them by their first names. It's odd that you may grow to know someone for over a year, but not even know their first name. So i'll start, my name is "Tristan" Whats yours?
....umm shane is not a chick name - cowboy/irish name man....havent you seen the movie or read the book SHANE??? besides... 1. I dont know any chicks named shane.... 2. Girl way is Shayne or Shaena and like i said before still havent met one... 3. WTF is JON??? where the damn H!!!! edit: 4. I bet i could pull 50 random people and a few would be named john/jon or mike so atleast my name is semi original you unoriginal chump!
1. I know plenty of chicks with the name of Shane. It's a uni-sex name. Sorry, I'm right on this, I even having a baby naming book on my desk here with me (baby #2 due in April). 2. Nope, they spell it Shane as well. 3. "Jon" is just a nickname. My "real" name is actually Jonathan, which is a completely different name than just Jon or John. I just shorten it for verbal communication (but always sign my full name), but it's not like shortening a Christopher to Chris, or Matthew to Matt... Jonathan and Jon are seperate names. As for the "H". "Jon" (w/o the H) is a more European spelling, and more Americans use it as "John" with the "h" in there as it's used in the Bible. 4. Actually, if you look at the statistics at: http://www.ssa.gov/OACT/babynames/ "Jon" (with that specific spelling) hasn't been ranked that high in the past decade... 222nd in '90 and down to 367th in '02. But, that's not my name anyway... just proving a point about the name "Jon" (not Jonathan or John though, both very popular, not that there's anything wrong with that... Biblical names are usually the most popular and stand the test of time). "Shane" has been ranked in the top 100 recently and is always around that number.
