Woohoo is it some sort of record that every game I have played in has been a shutout. I mean I just played XboxJon and missed a shot at the center of the net with his goalie lying off to the side. I mean I cant buy a goal.

Yeah, I was in shock how that puck missed my net. I mean, my goalie wasn't even near the crease and the shot missed a nearly open net.

    Maybe it's your aim. :D

i would say that you should hook up with big red02 and find out how he gets so many goals. He probably has the best shooting percentage in the entire league.

    His shooting average is 6.95%.

I think we have some better than that. ie. NatralSelection is at 9.45% (11 games, 52goals, 50 ASPGF). I think I'm in 2nd at 9.16% (15/66/48).

If you look at the top scorers in the league, they all have one thing in common... alot of shots on goal. Whenever I get in a scoring drought, I just start firing the puck at the goalie whenever I get the chance, even if it's not a good scoring chance. Sometimes you get lucky with a nice rebound and can wrist it in or get an easy one timer.

The easiest way to score in this game is by getting the goalie to commit to one side of the net... they are horrible at moving laterally. Obviously the "swoop" is an easy way to accomplish this, but since that's easier to defend you need to work on getting the goalie to slide around in another ways (ie. wraparounds, one timers, rebounds).

Just for curiousity (yes, I'm bored), I inputted the current league stats into Excel and figured out everyone's shooting percentage (maybe we can add another column Tristan?)... stats current as of the Cal vs NJ game:

    Code:
    Striker3771 16.54
    NyXtreme 9.64
    NatralSelection 9.45
    XboxJon 9.17
    XiNViZiBLE 8.12
    Tris10 8.11
    SkaLicous 7.11
    Big Red02 6.96
    CheapDeathBlow 6.79
    The Destroyer 6.42
    Marauders 6.20
    Tristenlog 6.07
    skater2903 6.03
    IndigoVDub 5.48
    Babolat 4.32
    Krazyivan99999 3.94
    woobwoob 3.61
    MixMasterMike 2.72
    Raptor710 2.47
    DeNMaN 1.53

Just use (total shots/total goals)*100 to get our average shooting percentage.

I would agree with the aim thing but that shot looked like it was deflected out of the net by an invisible goalie.

i know how you feel, i have games at times when i get shutout or robbed like that too. You need to take more quality shots and less quantity shots.
