Why Every Team Has a Chance to Win a Ring, and Why They Don’t

Heat – the heat have a chance to win simply because of shahbazz. Being one of the better point guards in the league, if he can show up and get them two wins before game 5, there’s a very real chance that the second line with STG can steal a game. If they can keep this up, they could very well win it all.

The main reason they wont win a ring is also simply because of shahbazz. The uncertainty of him showing up glooms over the heat’s chance at success, even with this late playoff push. If he doesn’t show up for 2-3 games a series, they’re done for.

Knicks – the Knicks have a shot to win simply because of their chemistry. Plenty of players on this roster play together in other leagues, and this chemistry is going to help with roations on defence and being able to trust eachother on both sides of the court, something other teams don’t necessarily have.

Why the knicks are going to lose is because they don’t have a game 5 lineup that can get the job done. They have a solid line with a back court of Truss and M15, but if that’s their game 5 line, I don’t think they have a chance at winning a series.

Suns – the suns have a real shot at winning a chip because of their strengths, good defence and a nice game 5 lineup. The defence on this team is top tier, and that’s going to lead to free transition buckets and frustration for opposing teams. And if they get to a game 5, they have a line that has experience together that could get the job done.

The reason they’re going to lose is because of their lack of depth, offensively, and their lack of having a true paint mashing big man. As good as GTL is, he is going to have an issue in the paint against some of these larger, braindead centres, and if that ends up costing them even one game, I don’t think they have the offensive power in their second line to steal a game, and this could cost them a series.

Jazz – if the good jazz show up, they have a pretty nice line 1 that has a real possibility of not dropping a game in the entire playoffs. Mango, Comeup and Berry is a nice trio to rely on, and when these guys are dialed in they have easy time winning games, and if they stay locked in and consistent, they could each have a ring in a few weeks.

The same reason is why the jazz wont win a ring though, they have struggled to stay consistent. One week they’ll go 4-2 or 5-1, and the next week they go 2-4. The lack of consistency and accountability could prove very costly for Snag’s Jazz squad.

Spurs – the spurs biggest chance to bring them a ring is to rely on that first line and having Rick absolutely locked in. We haven’t seen Rick in the playoffs for a couple of seasons now, but he looks like he’s ready to go, averaging over 30 and 10 on the season. If they can ride Rick (pause), his experience and skill could definitely bring them a ring.

The issue with the spurs, is about 98% of their team is on the IR or banned or having some other issues. With reports of the g league team playing a heavy roll in the playoffs for this team, I don’t think they have the depth to do any damage, and if their first line is off for even 1 quarter of a series, they’ll probably lose.

Grizzlies – Memphis’ biggest strength is the chemistry and defence. They have a few great defenders in Kenan, Woosie and Snype. They also have a few players who have played together in other leagues before, giving them some chemistry that alone can win games. If they can put the clamps on and take out top lines, a ring is in the future for these guys.

Their biggest weakness, and what will cost them is their lack of offensive firepower. ZDJ hasn’t been elite, and neither has Khorey. They haven’t been bad, just not elite, and without an elite offensive weapon, they are going to fall short in the playoffs.

76ers – they have a legit shot at a ring because of their depth. With two solid lines that have been winning all season long, they have a legit shot at splitting each 2 game series for their first and second line (at the least) regardless of who they play, and if it comes to game 5, they should have one of the better lines to roll out and get the job done.

Their biggest issue preventing them from getting a ring however, is that they don’t necessarily have a true 1st line. With this being the case, if they lose one of their 2 game splits completely, there’s a legitimate chance that they could get bounced before making a game 5. They need to make sure they avoid this at all costs or else they could be golfing quicker than some may think.

Magic – with their chemistry and defence, it’s pretty clear to see why this team is a favourite. It does help they got a free 6 million in their cap so Viz could bring his byot into yet another draft league, but in all seriousness, it’s going to be hard for any teams to score on these guys. They take care of things in their own end better than any other team this season, and this is going to lead to easy buckets, and with their chemistry, they should have no trouble getting wins in crunch time.

Their biggest issue is the lack of having an elite point guard. They have two good point guards in Paca and BRab, but they don’t have a top 3 PG in the league, and this could prove to be their downfall if they’re in a position where they need some buckets in a defensive game down the stretch.
