Umm the ESPN ones arent so great. I went and manually did Tech's roster...since i couldnt wait till I got home and I went to the ESPN site and it had players with the same number on there and it had question marks for all of their positions. ESPN's rosters probably wont be that great until the college football season actually starts.

Yeah, ESPN's are usually way outdated when the NCAA football game comes out every year. So far the NCAA preview rags. If you want it to be 100% accurate, just let one of these roster freaks do it for you. These guys research all of them and use multiple sources to confirm information.

Those of you having problems try downloading the following file and make sure you delete the datelinfo.xbx file.

Thanks for that link John. I have all my players in now except for a couple of offensive players that will probably never enter into the game anyways.

Guys, I'd download the updated Gagnon rosters, this guy has a lot of errors, I'm going with Linder if he has a "name only" file.

Mizzou's roster was fine, just a few spelling corrections.

You can use whatever roster file you want, or none at all. As long as the names that are entered into the LG scoreboard (either from a roster file or website sources) are fairly accurate, then it's fine.

I'm about to go insane with these rosters right now. I've been trying to figure this out for hours. I went to Nebraska's official site and printed their rosters and I also printed the Nebraska rosters from the .PDF file over at OperationSports. I've also checked out other sites as well.

Now, both of them have MULTIPLE DUPLICATE numbers on the roster...

The problem is, I can't afford Action Replay right now so I have to do my team manually. I still need to ask this kid I kind of know if he has one, but I'm a little embarrassed by that situation.

How do I know which player has what number? I don't really follow college sports so I hardly know any of the players.

Any help would be appreciated ;)

:( Yeah, thanks. The .pdf file from OS did say Spring on it and the "official" site just said 2004 for it's roster. ESPN has the same thing for other teams although I haven't looked at theirs for Nebraska. I just wonder where these guys that make the AR files get their information as I've checked most of the obvious sites.

No doubt, I'm going the same route Juji and expect a numbers problem like yourself. However, I've thought of something to help me out in the gray area with numbers. On the guys in question, compare the height and weight numbers from the game to the web site like ESPN or others sites with this data. This should help decipher who is who a little better in the 'grey' areas. :)

Thanks, I thought of that but didn't know how accurate the game was with that stuff. I have two sets of printouts and both include the height and weight of the players so I'll take a gander at that and see.

    Thanks!!

On another though, I guess I could look at the "class" of the player too (Fr., So., Jr., Sr.)

Height, weight, town, and class are usually what help me decide on who's who if I'm stuck on somebody.

Don't stress out about it though, it's not really important to have it 100% accurate. Maybe your offensive starters, but certainly don't sweat the 3rd string offensive lineman, he won't even show up on our scoreboard anyway. No big deal.

Even if you do make a mistake, it's not going to matter in the game (only you'll see their name) and unless we have a rabid Cornhusker fan here, they probably won't correct you on any mistakes. Just don't have too many named "John Doe" if you get stuck. :D

D'oh! I need to go edit something....I'll be right back :p

Yeah, I'm taking a break right now from entering them in. I've got the main offensive starters in already. Took me about an hour or so :( I've got to do the offensive lineman, defense, and kickers yet. I figure since I'm only working on one team, I might as well do them all.

Thanks for the tips Soad and XboxJ ;)
