Keeping Track of Forfeits

Do we not have the technology to keep track of when our games are? Why should they need to be at the same time every night? Not trying to be an asshole, just wondering why this would be something that people would want when we have the ability to make schedules personalized to each team.

 

Maybe pooch didn't submit availability during that window when you were asking for it or whatever, so does that mean that you should you schedule games for Wednesdays at 2pm or Sundays at 4am?

No because that's fucking stupid.

So is Saturday at 11 and 1130 pm


Again we are open to playing the 2 games literally any time besides Saturday nights, figure it out @Dork x22 and @x Latourious

 

The UOHL, LGHL, etc. comment is to most people here who play in multiple leagues and dont seem to have a problem with how those are run.

 

You have no clue what you are talking about. Not one person commenting in this thread ever messaged me about anything. X Latourious is the only person to ever message me and he messaged me the day before about rescheduling. I asked him to post up in the reschedule thread. Did he ever post. Did anyone ever post it. Not my job to post if the other team doesn't even want to put forth the effort to post it. Messaged him the day of the game if he was going to post it and got no response. So if i post it up for you guys would anyone have ever responded to it?

 

People crack me up taking forfeits in here, thirsty for the points i guess. Idk about yall i signed up for this because i enjoy competitive 6s and i havent taken a ff because I wanna play. I understand some people are west coast or are 12 and dont have jobs but the FORCED 12-130 start times on week nights have been outrageous to me. I know i signed up knowing there would be late games but i didnt realize some of the Virgin divas in here would act the way they do regarding reschedules

 

The PM I sent stated the times, 9PM-1AM everyday of the week, respond letting me know which times work for your team. Whats wrong with Saturday Night with advanced notice? I'm not home on Saturdays normally, but I can plan to be home if something is going on. If 5/10 people had plans 3 weeks ago that couldnt change for this specific Saturday night thats a tough break, but thats on you guys for not submitting availability.

 

You had a chance to submit availability before the league started to avoid 1am start times.

i have no idea when we play until the week of and its random times, LG is a sunday-thursday 9-11pm, this, its random, one week im monday, tuesday then next its like friday saturday, im just saying, if they can give you proof they messaged dorks team more than once asking to reschedule then that should be more than enough proof for you to take off the forfeits and have the teams play. as for @SweeT 9 LoU 84 situation with my team, im the only one who wants to play the 2nd game as they are using the "we waited all night to play" talk to me, which yes we did but its not your fault nor should you be punished for having x amount of people playing in the LG playoffs, yes you guys couldnt do 9:30 which is another reason for us to use but, you guys had other league stuff, cant be punished for that IMO and i know kariya is gonna snap on me for being on your side but id rather play than be a .

 

You're issue seems to be that people would abuse it. People are abusing it now by taking Forfeits. You had us submit availability which most of us did, but not everyone (thats their fault yes.) However, you asked you what we are doing for the next 2 months and if we can play every day in those times you gave us. Again, Im down for the scheduled games, but we need feedback and suggestions on how to better it and we are getting them and you seem to be countering them (which i like) or saying what do you want me to do about it or saying thats the way it is deal with it. I understand rules are in place for a reason and i support them, but when an issue arises and is being abused like it is, we need to amend the rules or address the issue

 

If a team asks for a reschedule in advance, and other team makes no reasonable effort to cooperate, no forfeit should be given. When you get towards the end of the season, reschedules are less likely to happen.

Maybe a limit to the number a reschedules a team can ask for (in advance). When your limit is up you can ask for more, but the other team has no reason to comply.

Just tossing some ideas out there besides "make it or else".

P.S. Hoping you consider bringing my Tiebreaker rules to PS4 since they're not being used here.

 

i was informed that you guys never replied to multiple messages from their team, my understanding was you cant post in the reschedule thread until both teams agree to it, if this is wrong then yes, they should have, but they didn't and you still have the choice to reschedule the games or not.

 

The other league stuff is inexcusable if you guys said no we wont move the game to 9pm 10pm, but you guys said no we want to play well wait its no big deal games are 9 and 10 i said alright that works but we have LG playoffs just so you know

 

The whole schedule has been available since day 1. This is 100% your own fault.

Rest of the stuff is up to teams to work out, I'd rather teams work things out over taking forfeits, just as the rule is written (and written correctly imo) I cant tell teams that they cannot call forfeits in certain situations, if a team cant play at the scheduled time a forfeit can be called if the team wants to do it.

 

This is the initial scheduled season so the only thing we can do now if adjust it goin forward to make the league better

 

yeah, i know the whole story, i feel scummy for them taking the ff, which i dont believe should be happening. LG playoffs is more important than playing a pro series game thats been dragged out for 45 mins and only 10 mins of the game is played

on my phone, it gives me each weeks schedule, so i only know those days until next weeks comes out, i barely come on this site with my laptop anymore cuz my laptop is aids and slower than a turtle. no excuse, just saying, some people might not have a computer to see all seasons and go week by week like myself.

 

When u added this forfeit cap weeks in got me fired up because i had no knowledge of this before and if someone wants to pay for forfeit every game they should be able to because there was nothing written prior to the season, most managers are reasonable but going forward there needs a few adjustments is all. I am for the set schedule i just didnt realize it would be so random as opposed to the other leagues that are set times. I wasnt aware of an availability system preseason which is on me and my team but it was thrown together so last minute i just didnt see the issues ahead of time

 

Sorry for the misunderstanding then. One thing Benny and Cakes said about that though is trues is those have set times Sun-Thurs every week and you have 6 other FWDs 4 other Dman 1 other G plus an entire AHL and TC to choose from compared to PS where you have a max 4 other guys some of who are only good at FWD D or G. Its not an excuse, but it is a valid point that if you offer to reschedule so you can have your best 6 you should be given the opportunity and if not you should play 6 even if they're out of position bc they were willing to sign up, but if you straight up can't get 6 and you gave a heads up and theres a ton of time left in the season, a FF shouldn't be allowed. Maybe go to that format of instead of the TBD you do what you offered in the Reschedule thread and just make a new game time yourself and then give people a set number they can reschedule (for next season not now)

 

I have the messages ill gladly share them here. I agreed to the reschedule. When latorious doesn't respond to me after i agreed and asked to post it up. What am i supposed to do? Sure i could have messaged others but im not the one that wants the reschedule. Funny thing is like a week before the game i asked for a reschedule. Never heard anything back until the day before and i messaged him everyday up until that point. So i had my guys cancel plans on going out so they can stay home for NHL. SO i had my 6 ready to go days before. He then messages me on Friday and says "ok we can reschedule". I said sure post it up. Never posted it. Then i messaged him the day of and said "If i don't hear anything back from you by 8 o'clock im assuming you want to play these games". I also have video proof of us all there. You know if someone else just messaged me or hit me up it would have been fine. I would have even taken the forfeits away and agreed to reschedule. Now after all the bitching i kinda don't want to.

 

all I know is pooch said you never responded to his reschedule request, and then claimed FFs.

Nobody else was in contact with you. So if you'd like to reschedule, we can play it whenever.
