Hooray!

Eastern Conference:

1. Norfolk Admirals (7-2-0) - It’s not a big surprise that Norfolk is up at #1. It was easy to see just from looking at their roster that they were going to have a successful season. They outscored their opponents 29-16, showcasing their ability to score, as well as their defensive capabilities. Leading the offense in this week was @lRyan l6l, who had 10 points in 3 games, and was +4. The defense is good overall, but @Miffin stands out to me, he was definitely a good pickup. Last but not least, there’s @blackhawk1327, who went 4-1 and had 3 shutouts. Expect Norfolk to stay around the top of the conference for the time being.

Offense: 9
Defense: 8.5
Goalies: 8.5
PtW: @lRyan l6l, @Miffin, @blackhawk1327

2. Providence Bruins (7-2-0) - Providence is another team who was expected to be at the top of the conference. The reason I chose to put them at #2 was because although they won them all, 5/9 of their games were 1-goal-games. @Couture l 39 l, and @Arguee tied for the most points this week, with 10 each. They were well-known for their defense last season, and probably will be this season too. The strong defensive core is led by @greg85w and @xxEVILMONKYxx. @l Mr Lundqvist l has been doing a solid job stopping pucks, and looks to be the clear starter. From what it looks like, Providence will stay in the Top 3 for a while.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 9
Goalies: 8.5
PtW: @Arguee, @greg85w, @l MrLundqvist l

3. Albany Devils (6-3-0) - Of course Albany is atop the standings once again. It seems as though their team is just getting better and better at no cost. They still have a great all-around team, but with a better offense. They just united @King Amante and @McCann x94, who are gonna be great on offense. The defense is outstanding, and all of the players are good. Their goalies did not have a hot start to the season, but they’ll probably get better over time.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 9
Goalies: 8.5
PtW: @shaker1711, @Wolves of Turku, @DOMS313

4. Hershey Bears (6-3-0) - Hershey is a team who I don’t expect to stay so high up in the standings. They have a great offense but their back-end is weaker. They’ve got @MiRacLe XLIII leading the offense with 13 points, and he’ll probably continue to stay on the points leaders board. I’m not so impressed with the defense they have, and same with the goalies. They’ve got @Stith00, who’s been around forever, and is a solid defenseman, and @b3rgy7, but that’s all I see. In goal they’ve got two unproven goaltenders. I think this team really depends on their offense to win games.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 8
Goalies: 8
PtW: @MiRacLe XLIII, @TheAngry Mormon, @Stith00

5. Adirondack Phantoms (6-3-0) - I definitely expect Adirondack to stay around 5th throughout the season. They don’t specialize in any area of the game, they’re just a solid all-around team. @Naslund x 19 had the most points with 9, which isn’t a lot, but it’s just what they need. Their defense isn’t doing so great, but they have the potential to be a top defense. @lVlDewMan looks to be the clear starter and had a decent 75.9% SV% this week.

Offense: 8
Defense: 8
Goalies: 8
PtW: @Naslund x 19, @SeeDew77, @lVlDewMan

6. Bridgeport Sound Tigers (5-2-2) - I think it’s funny that many people criticized Bridgeport for not having a good first line on offense, and then the team comes out and scores a total of 35 goals, with 4 players who have more than 10 points. @World of Ice was the leading scorer out of those 4 players, with 13 points. The defense and goalies appeared to struggle a bit during the first week, but I guess we’ll see how that turns out in future weeks. Bridgeport will probably stay somewhere between 4-6 for the time being.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 8
Goalies: 7.5
PtW: @World of Ice, @PureRippin, @WikiTiki32

7. Binghamton Senators (5-3-1) - Binghamton’s success so far has been a surprise to a lot of us. @Martin ScoresEZ and @TheAngryNachos tied to lead the team in points with 12 points each. On defense, @Langster8 had a solid +6, along with 1 goal and 3 assists. Their goalie struggled a bit this week, and their other goalie was called up, so hopefully the new guy helps them out.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 8
Goalies: 7
PtW: @MartinScoresEZ, @TheAngryNachos, @Langster8

8. WBS Penguins (4-3-2) - WBS’s week was a little bit worse than anticipated.Their explosive offense only led them to 4 wins, even though they’re capable of producing more. On defense, @PENSfan87n71 went +10, and had 3 assists too. @xCBx Chuckles carried, like usual, in goal, with an 81.1% SV%, and a decent 2.95 GAA. WBS will probably move up in the standings a little bit in the future.

Offense: 8
Defense: 7.5
Goalies: 7.5
PtW: @Legacy XXIII, @PENSfan87n71, @xCBx Chuckles

9. Portland Pirates (4-4-1) - O: 7.5; D: 7; G: 7.5

10. Springfield Falcons (4-5-0) - O: 7.5; D: 7; G: 6.5

11. St. John’s Ice Caps (4-5-0) - O: 7.5; D: 6.5; G: 7

12. Manchester Monarchs (3-5-1) - O: 7; D: 6.5; G: 6.5

13. Woostah Sharks (3-6-0) - O: 6; D: 6.5; G: 6

14. Hartford Wolf Pack (3-6-0) - O: 6.5; D: 5.5; G: 6

15. Syracuse Crunch (0-8-0) - O: 5.5; D: 5.5; G: 5

Hooray!

Western Conference:

1. Texas Stars (6-2-1) - Texas is another team that was expected to be high in the standings from the beginning. The depth on their roster is outstanding. They outscored their opponents 42-21, which shows they can score a ton of goals while still playing well defensively. Leading the offense in this week was @Dr Dee and @HOLD MA DDD, both had 16 points in 3 games. The defense is solid, @jeremy a 60 had a +15 this week. Lastly, their goalies both had stellar 83% SV%s. Texas will definitely stay atop the Western Conference for a while.

Offense: 9.5
Defense: 8.5
Goalies: 8.5
PtW: @Dr Dee, @jeremy a 60, @x GLAC1ER x

2. Abbotsford Heat (6-2-1) - Abbotsford was also expected to be at the top of the conference.. @VehnoM, and @Mr SaWse tied for the most points this week, with 8 each. Their defense is definitely the bright spot of their team. The strong defensive core is led by @Sloshy Boxers and @XpVoIpIs. @LIVE Jordan did a decent job in goal, with a 2.59 GAA. Expect Abbotsford to stay atop the standings.

Offense: 8
Defense: 9.5
Goalies: 8.5
PtW: @VehnoM, @Sloshy Boxers, @LIVE Jordan

3. Rochester Americans (6-3-0) - Props to Rochester for turning it around after the blacklists and their atrocious preseason. They made some great moves in the last couple weeks to keep the team stable. The offense is fantastic, and is led by, the one-and-only, @Doc Status, with 13 points, and @SHIPPPY23. They also have @Haunted Avocado and @Darsow12, two great defenders. In net, @SRU Thamps had a great week with a 2.5 GAA, and a 79.5 SV%.

Offense: 9
Defense: 8.5
Goalies: 8.5
PtW: @Doc Status, @Haunted Avocado, @SRU Thamps

4. Lake Erie Monsters (6-3-0) - Lake Erie is a team that will probably sit around 4th for the entire season. They have a good all-around team. They’ve got @pete magnum791 leading the offense with 9 points. On defense they have @DRLFT3R, who was +3 and had 3 points. In goal they have the infamous @BIG RIG l83l, who had stellar numbers this week, with a 1.9 GAA, and an 82.6 SV%. Like I said, expect Lake Erie to stay closer to the top of the standings, probably around 4th place.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 8.5
Goalies: 8.5
PtW: @doh23, @DRLFT3R, @BIG RIG l83l

5. Chicago Wolves (6-3-0) - I honestly don’t think Chicago will stay at the top of the standings for very long. They sort of depend on their forwards and goalies, as their defense is little bit weaker. @GooDWarQC had the most points with 13, which is pretty good. Their defense isn’t fantastic, but they’ve got a couple solid players back there. @TRiMBoLi TiME had a good week, ending with a 2.67 GAA and an 81.8% SV%. They also picked up @Berrakov l86l who had a nice 78.9 SV% while on Woostah. I think this team will continue to succeed, but will fall to to like 5th or 6th.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 8
Goalies: 9
PtW: @GooDWarQC, @rainsilent, @Berrakov l86l

6. Iowa Wild (5-2-2) - Iowa is another solid all-around team. @HoNoIzGrenierQC was the leading scorer on Iowa, with 9 points, and @BMCDONALD19, who had 7 points in 2 games. On defense, @Tiddus picked up 4 assists, and @Terrier4581 got 3 or himself. The goalies on this team did not do so well, but they weren’t terrible either. Tranny had a 76.9 SV%, and a 3 GAA.

Offense: 8.5
Defense: 8
Goalies: 7.5
PtW: @BMCDONALD19, @Tiddus, @Terrier4581

7. San Antonio Rampage (5-3-1) - San Antonio is right where I expected them to be. They are really good defensively, and decent on offense. @RocketShip x 27 leads the team in points with 9 points. On defense, @CaM3xiJew picked up 2 assists, and was +1 on the week. @IXI Ein lXl had some good stats, with an 80.8 SV%, and a 2.67 GAA, and is the clear starter on this team. I expect San Antonio to stay around 7th for now.

Offense: 8
Defense: 8.5
Goalies: 7.5
PtW: @RocketShip x 27, @Quackkz, @lXl Ein lXl

8. Grand Rapids Griffins (5-4-0) - Grand Rapids did a lot better than I expected. They got a solid 5 wins, keeping themselves above .500. On offense, @Agent Murphy 2 had 10 points, with 7 goals. On defense, @Careeno had 4 assists and was +6. The goalies on this squad didn’t do very well. Grand Rapids will probably sit somewhere between 8th and 10th this season.

Offense: 8
Defense: 7.5
Goalies: 7
PtW: @Agent Murphy 2, @l51l z e u s, @Careeno

9. Hamilton Bulldogs (4-4-1) - O: 7; D: 7; G: 8 (Peeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeete)

10. Charlotte Checkers (4-4-1) - O: 7; D: 7; G: 7.5

11. OKC Barons (3-5-1) - O: 7; D: 7; G: 7

12. Jakeford Icehogs (4-5-0) - O: 7.5; D: 6.5; G: 7

13. Toronto Marlies (3-6-0) - O: 6.5; D: 7; G: 6.5

14. Milwaukee Admirals (2-5-1) - O: 6; D: 5.5; G: 6

15. Utica Comets (2-7-0) - O: 5.5; D: 6; G: 6

There's a good reason why we dont play defence; Im too busy shooting the puck while arguee misses the damn net. Or im taking constant penalties!

Stories to Watch: Look for Nugersey Devils and BMCDONALD19 to put up big numbers as they try to rekindle a long lost spark. Can the young prospect from the CHL carry the commissioners mediocrity? Only time will tell.
