I agree 100%. If you're not deliberately trying to, you wouldn't pick up on this right away. However, if you try to exploit it, the long ball is almost always there. My brother and I played last night and we took turns rolling the QB out and chunking it downfield. Although my bro made 33 passing attempts, the yards below were on only 9 completions. The second half I was able to be more effective on defense as he didn't mix it up and was pretty predictable. Here's the stats just to give you an idea.

The frustrating thing was that even in a dime package with 3 DB's playing deep, the WR's would still get behind them. When you yourself try to make a play, you're often flagged for interference. Now granted, we didn't play with ranked teams so this might be different between better teams. We used TCU and Texas A&M. Both are ranked B- across the board (off, def, and overall). Needless to say, I'm really curious to see how Heisman plays as it might be the setting to consider for the league.

we were not deliberatley trying to roll out, pressure was put on and we needed to move out of pocket..BUT...there was only one long ball for a TD.. i personally forgot to cover Ginn and gave up a big play.. big plays Jcon was talking about was a lil pass over the middle missed tackle and off to races..a fumble recover and then to the house...then a lil button hook, missed tackle and TD..those kind of plays.

 

I wasn't suggesting thats what you guys did, I was merely adding to jcon's comments about the QB sitting outside the pocket and waiting for guys to get open by giving an example of my own experience. The tourney was setup to test the settings and get feedback on the new guys. So, I've contributed to half of the debate.

asrabbit - I think the field goals killed you in this game. You would have the win if you knocked down that last 50+ yarder. We need a rematch one day.
