along with the team/league history, can you have the trophies like Stanley Cup, NBA Championship, The Lombardi, World Series for the person that one that season. Can also be divided into different catogories : 1 - Season awards(best winning record, most point scored, etc, in that season) 2 - Overall league records for that type of league (Most points scored, most wins, etc). Doesnt have to be a huge list of records but important records for that league. Can be something that the league players can participate in a vote for records to be added.
I'm not trying to argue because not everyone likes everything, but I just want to clarify what I was talking about before you sign off on it. Basically I was talking about your current MyLG homepage combined with your profile. The only difference would be you could put up some custom links, a background image (thus my calling it an oversized avatar), your top five favorite games, and so on and so on. Instead of clicking your profile and getting very limited info, members would click your profile and be taken to your MyLG (LGSpace ) page where your league history and a few other tidbits are there. A couple of other things that could be on your page viewable by others is your TIME ZONE which is being requested here, your game reviews if you made any, etc. My suggestion I guess is to have a better profile page that contains more info about you other than what we currently have. The background image was just to make it your own so to speak (such as a page sized image in the background which is why I mentioned bandwidth issues). Describing it as a MySpace page might have thrown you guys off and it's probably not the best description. I think a more detailed profile page describes what I was thinking of perfectly. I hope that puts a different image in your head and if you still don't like the idea, so be it
There should be like actual trophies somewhere on the site with the winners names engraved on it, like the stanley cup with 1-7 season winners names on it. lol would be kind of cool.
I see what you're saying Juji...that would be very cool. I don't know how much time that would take to develop, but it certainly would be original.
I agree that would be really kick a$$ for sure! I made a mock up of something similar to this idea a longggggg time ago and it's something I would like to see as well... of course it was a long time ago ( post count ) and that was an idea for NHL award winners , but could be implemented site wide for all leagues....
Who ever asked for the player vs player script is brillant. I got this working where you can pick any 2 members and view their LG games played vs each other. I broke it down by league as well as leaguegaming total. It will get data from all the leagues , even the Team Links and Team Halo leagues which is quite interesting I think this will be a very popular tool inside LGv3
How about a feedback section in gamer's profiles, like where you can send them feedback, like "great game", or "you improved your defense" or something like that. kind of like gamertag database, for those who remember that back in the day.
Yup derek, After EVERY LG game you can post your own comment, as well as give "positive,Netural,Negative" feedback
I should remember some of those from S7.... was it not you and I that had a few of them.... can't remember all of them, but I know there were a few
hey tris maybe something like a lifetime timer in peoples profiles to show how much time they actually spend on lg lol
lol well we cant really count the seconds or minutes your on or off lg, so you couldn't really get that data, but i like where that was leading lol
I know I mentioned it to you via IM, but depending on what type for forum you're going with, I'd recommend Collapsable Gamercards to save space on the forums, and then be able to click a button and have the gamercard expand, for instance with vB it would take advantage of AJAX, I don't know about IPB Boards or various others though. The games list I think also doesn't really have business being listed by each post either, a more appropriate place for that is on your user profile page.
