*DISCLAIMER* Do not take anything we have to say about each team to heart, this is an opinion piece about how we feel each team did during the draft and how we feel the teams rank up going into the season. Thank you to @CKxWhalefan26 for ranking each team’s lineups with a letter grade and giving his take on each team. I ranked each team according to their performance during the draft and my personal take on each team.

Austria

Rahzki’s Hot Take: I’m not sure how these Australians will do... I mean Austrians. They have a lot of players out of position for this tournament, possible preparing for Season 33. I hope this team does good but I do not see them in the race for the medal.

CK’s Hot Take: This team has some solid players, while other parts of this roster need to have a good season to provide positive contributions in the next LG season. Both Austria netminders are guys who have management experience but move from RW and LD.

Belarus

Rahzki’s Hot Take: Hand this team the Gold medal now. Koller by far was the best at drafting this World Juniors. The Lethbridge management team did a fantastic job making the Lethbridge Americans… or the Allen Hurricanes? Koller drafting @Rockxt 97 with the 3rd pick then following up and grabbing @vI Kiroxy Iv, @Binxzyy, & @TKShooter22 to finish making chemistry a factor deserves a sticker for that one. Then he also grabbed @LB58 & @SchecterDamien to complement that D-Core. This team is my favorite to win this tournament.

CK’s Hot Take: Koller did a great job on the drafting end getting solid players off the Allen Americans roster in @Rockxt 97, @vI Kiroxy Iv, @Binxzyy, and @TKShooter22 to complement some players off the Hurricanes roster from S32. May I also add @Brisan x6, a well-known LG player joins this locker-room.

Canada

Rahzki’s Hot Take: Skjei and the syrup suckers have built a team of buddies looking for a fun time like the swiss cheese. I can’t wait to see them chemistry factor of being friends bring a role to the leafy team. I do not see Canada being dominant and being in the chase for a medal. One big draft pick for this team though is @lxl sakic19 lxl who is a PSN NHLer and a very solid player on the sticks.

CK’s Hot Take: A lot of players on this team either had good seasons or a season that they’re just looking to get a head start on with a decent goalie tandem. After the first few games you’ll know what to expect from Canada in World Juniors.

Czech Republic

Rahzki’s Hot Take: Edgar has the most management experience in this tournament by far and after a disappointing season will hopefully win the Gold with the Czech. This team looks very competent and will be a serious threat.

CK’s Hot Take: Edgar has one of the top management teams in WJC after an upset series loss against Halifax. Wouldn’t be surprised if this team gets a solid start to the week.

Denmark

Rahzki’s Hot Take: There are not too many familiar faces to this Bulldogs team for WJC. The management has given chances to some guys that hopefully can make a name for themselves this tournament.

CK’s Hot Take: Former Bulldogs team but with some new faces, this management group seems to know what they’re doing also giving some people a chance to perform on the international stage.

Finland

Forwards: B
Defense: C-
Goalies: C+

Rahzki’s Hot Take: The Fins are ready for this tournament with the additions of @Und3rSh0tkid with the 1st overall pick, @MMurph, @l0l iVeRsOn l3l, & @S2NxPuckStopp3r in the draft. Even though PuckStopp3r’s availability isn’t the greatest he will be the best as the 3rd pair Dman. Other than that though I don’t see much to this team that can make them a true competitor.

CK’s Hot Take: Finland has good forwards drafted for this tournament but some players on the defensive side are going to be looking to improve for next season. @Diabolic Viper will be the starting goalie for this team but the grade drops based on a new goalie behind him.

Germany

Rahzki’s Hot Take: The Germans are creating a Fourth Reich with this team hoping to take the tournament by storm and win it all. They have a solid defense especially with picking up @POTU5 and their forwards are even stronger drafting @l Gats x 12 l with the 2nd overall pick. I can see this team making a deep run in this tournament to make up for some disappointing seasons from the players on this roster.

CK’s Hot Take: This team has some solid defensemen that can make some noise, the goalies each allowing around 2.5 goals per game in the regular season (S32) also tells the management that they know what they’re getting out of the goaltending department.

Italy

Rahzki’s Hot Take: The Italians are making a pizza pie with this draft, grabbing some very talented players in @WHOLESALEINCDET, @REZ 4 HIRE, @JiveTurkey x91x, @Spices and Herb & @BostonMLV. This team is turning into a better South Carolina team from this past season. I can see them having a shot at a medal for World Juniors this season.

CK’s Hot Take: This team has some known LG players as well to add from the past season, although I’m concerned about the goaltending being that @Bergi has moved from the right side to between the pipes.

Japan

Forwards: C-

Rahzki’s Hot Take: Not too much to say about the Japs. They drafted a very solid LW in @dusty snipss but as for the rest of the team I cannot say much about them. I do not recognize most of this team and hope there are a lot of players that can make a name for themselves going into season 33 and kamikaze their way into a medal spot.

CK’s Hot Take: I feel this is one of those teams that had a rough draft out of the gates selecting a goalie in the first round, they did get a steal in former Islanders defender @FictitiousIy. If the week doesn’t start well, this could be a wake up call for Japan.

Kazakhstan
Owner: @Salty x 14

Forwards: B

Goalies: B-

Rahzki’s Hot Take: I will carry this team to Gold. Just kidding, they didn’t do a bad job drafting and I’m glad to be apart of this team. I’m finally a Kawk (This is for @Jumps x 66). This team was able to draft very well with a new owner taking the team. On offense they grabbed @Ryanskov, @J MeeHoff, @xHoodler, @xGetAcedx, @Zxdina, & yours truly even though I’m probably the worst forward on the team. They did a solid job drafting defenders with @DisneyIsGreedy, @WaRRioR l19l, & @nordet2. They grabbed @IVIDewMan as a starting tendy unless Salty is a secret elite in between the pipes.

CK’s Hot Take: Salty put together a good roster, although looking at this owner in one of the goalie spots may be an asset for them unless he has hidden talents nobody knows about between the pipes.

Norway

Forwards: C

Rahzki’s Hot Take: Norwegians didn’t do the worst in the draft with the management team they had. They managed to grab centers @kdoss & @xHughes 43 which could do them some good behind the dot. They drafted former commissioner @xX Z3NO Xx for his final run on LG for sometime, I wish Z3NO all the best and hope he has fun this World Juniors before taking his leave. From all of PVM, we thank you @xX Z3NO Xx. They also drafted mysterious boy/girl @IV Garbz VI at defense to try something new instead of wing which Garbz is accustomed to. They grabbed a good tendy in @Sweet Deke Bro. Norway will have a tough challenge ahead of them in this tournament.

CK’s Hot Take: Norway won’t have a great start but if they can get some momentum going they could make a good run. A few faces on this roster are looking for a really good WJC season.

Russia

Forwards: B+

Rahzki’s Hot Take: PETE CHECK. This team will be a contender. They drafted very well, on all 3 fronts. Besides the managers they drafted @EVOingRyan, @Torched Xans, & @D1saster91 for 2 very solid lines. They also grabbed @Rybs12, @Warped l8l, & @BaSS MONKEY 24 on D to enhance the Top 4. The Petes… I mean Russia also got 2 very solid goalies from Allen in @qnpsdub & @TRMC BIGMAC to keep them going from the crease. The Petes might just make it to the medal round.

CK’s Hot Take: A really rough first round for this management group getting sent home in seven games to Kingston, but this group has a lot to bring to the table this season from all positions. Will it be enough in a couple of weeks?

South Korea

Rahzki’s Hot Take: The K-POP stars ran by a solid tendy & good buddy of mine Rallo, this team has made some good pickups. They took @Hvtt at pick number 5 which was a bit of a stretch that I hope works out for them but they did manage to grab @Daversa19, @Donko IV, & @Garis93 who has tons of experience in the higher leagues and I am surprised to be seeing him in the CHL this past season. I’m not sure how this team will do but their chances at Gold are going to be slim and if they can bring this team together and grab the necessary wins they might have a shot.

CK’s Hot Take: Ah South Korea, a team that I didn’t think LG would bring to WJC but it happened. This fanbase will be excited to see how this team performs this season. Not to mention one of the best goalie pairs in this tournament.

Sweden

Rahzki’s Hot Take: I don’t see Sweden as a “Top Team” this season for WJC. @LAxCAPONE412 is a solid forward in my opinion and so is @xSnipEShoWx11 but thats all I see as weapons on the offense excluding management. On defense there is not too much I can say about anyone except @eNeRGiZeR 45 and that he is a fantastic graphic designer and a good player but I do not know these players to my knowledge and don’t know how they’ll produce. They did manage to get @kucheran1214 who is a very solid goalie and should be able to backpack them to a few W’s.

CK’s Hot Take: It doesn’t hurt to try something new and gather new faces to see how they stack up in the WJC tourney and that’s what you can see here. The rank is low but if the chemistry is their anything is possible.

Switzerland

Forwards: B

Rahzki’s Hot Take: The Swiss Cheese. This team in my opinion is going to be an interesting team to watch as they are a bunch of friends that all got together to try an make a run. Their Top 4 Defense looks very strong with all management & @iLLuminOttie & a very interesting forward core with @rifleman10, @rollinj0071 (with the 15th pick), @WingelsDGC & @Polar Cooks. They managed to grab @xX Jonesy 14 Xx as starting tendy and @Thudson93 as a backup with his beautiful personality. I’m not sure how this team will finish but they will have a lot of fun this tourney as a team.

CK’s Hot Take: Even though rollinj went early, the Swiss put together a good lineup in the end. Oxy moves up to defense for now, as long as the linematching during this upcoming weeks works out, the postseason play will be a breeze.

USA

Forwards: A-
Defense: C+
Goalies: B

Rahzki’s Hot Take: The Muricans are looking strong with getting some very quality players upfront and in the rear. They managed to draft @Sbrangy & @TheLastRecluse5 on Defense in 2 high quality players there to make a Top D-Pair. They also managed to snag @lv 0vi vl & @J0KER l91l that with a solid RW can make a second top line on offense to be a threat. They also have a strong starting goaltender with Islanders Owner @BigMambasHouse & a backup with @hawck33. Overall this team looks strong and will be a strong competitor if their depth lines can produce as well.

CK’s Hot Take: Pastor has drafted a great group of players some from the Raiders, and the Islanders. If I had to choice four teams to compete in the medal rounds, this is definitely one of those teams.

Kinda curious in the reasoning for thinking that grabbing multiple players from two of the worst teams in the CHL and expecting different results.

Norway has a massive advantage. Skinny dipping into frozen lakes is a team building exercise that no other team in this tournament has.
