Voracek's Management Power Rankings

Guess what? I’m back to writing Power Rankings again. The forums have been as dead as Whitney Houston and my availability has been horrible during the weekend which I planned on my writing (Trust me, it was as horrible as @LeafsMan13 button skill.) But, now I’ll be hopefully to have a consistent Power Rankings thread week in and week out. These are my opinions and most of you don’t care what I have to say… But without further ado, these rankings are based off management only, because why waste time on something that won’t matter come the start of the regular season?

*Disclaimer: I will not write about my team to avoid bias.*​

P.S. No fucks are given if you’re butthurt and rage because of these rankings.
The management rankings are based off of 1.) Button Skill and 2.) Management Experience:

Eastern Conference

Atlantic​

1.) :t351: Manchester Monarchs :t351: - GM: Craig B x91 AGM: l4l Clancy l7l
The fact that Red Raiders were able to land these two as AHL management is truly mind boggling. Having a former Owner as an AHL GM and the reigning Conn Smythe winner as an AGM, who also has CHL management experience. Good lord. This team screams playoffs right off the bat. In a particular weak division, expect them to win the division.

2.) :t352: Providence Bruins :t352: - GM: xX Z3NO Xx AGM: Couture l 39 l
What can I say about these two? Coming of an Atlantic division win, they look to repeat the division. With great player knowledge in the A, they look to be the contender. Z3no did a great job after he took over last season and Couture has proven that he can be a great manager at the AHL level. The only thing that worries me about the Bruins is their NHL team. Fonz had a bad season as the Owner and hopefully the Baby B’s don’t get victimized by a weak NHL team. Other than that, look for the Bruins to have quality season.

3.) :t392: St. John’s Ice Caps :t392: - GM: Lucky Hound AGM: STEELERKID96
With Lucky and Steeler returning, they look to crawl into the playoffs. With solid NHL management, they have someone to go to for guidance. The Ice Caps are a middle of the road type management group. With Steeler having management experience in another league, the Ice Caps can be a low playoff seed.

Management Experience: B-

4.) :t313: Portland Pirates :t313: - GM: HeisenBERT AGM: ekimeekim
HeisenBERT looks to improve on how the Pirates turned out last season. I have no clue who the AGM to be honest. Looks like he dropped his controller when he deciding on what his GT should be… In all seriousness, there isn’t really much to talk about here..

5.) :t304: Woostah Sharks :t304: - GM: l9l cammi l3l AGM: Unknownx27
Let’s face it, Woostah has been cursed since the “other league.” And with RWF as owner, this organization is in shambles. The management has decent button skill, but with variety of factors with experience and the NHL team, it doesn’t look like a good season. Hey, you can always make me look like an asshole.

Management Experience: D+

Northeast:

1.) :t305: Albany Devils :t305: - GM: ImJeff AGM: v MAXWELL z
The Devils have on of the best management groups of LG as a whole. They’re looking to build off on last season, as they didn’t reach the expectations everyone had for them… Having the same management group, along with skill. There is only a few teams that can come close to them.

2.) :t315: Bridgeport Sound Tigers :t315: - GM: Dirty Mart AGM: Potsy44
The Sound Tigers came close last season and I can see them making a run again this season. With the addition of Potsy as the AGM, the Tigers have a bonafide AHL defenseman. With Cakes as the Owner, expect him to give some tips on bidding and such. Although they’re not as good as the VHL Sound Tigers, they’re pretty damn close.

3.) :t302: Adirondack/Leigh Valley Phantoms :t302: - GM: THE IRON STUB AGM: SeeDew77
The Spooky Phantoms just don’t look all that scary from a management perspective. lol sorry. Although Stub has built great teams both in the AHL and NHL, they have great competition in their own division. SeeDew is unknown to me to be quite honest. Expect them to be a hit or miss team this year.

4.) :ahwp: Hartford Wolfpack :ahwp: - GM: I2I SNOOPY I3I AGM: AViss93
Snoopy has been an AHLer for life and is an Owner is another league that plays during the same times as the AHL. The pick up of AViss as AGM was a smart decision, but I feel like the team won’t produce, pretty much the same thing as the Phantomd.

Management Experience: B-

East:

1.) :t316: Norfolk Admirals :t316: - GM: Jay Rulez AGM: Heimbecker
Jay Rulez takes GM and adds the all holy Heimbecker as his AGM. Played against these two in club numerous times and I can vouch that these guys are pretty damn good for the AHL.Looking to improve off of last season, Norfolk can take the division with ease.
Button Skill: B+
Management Experience: A-

2.) :t301: WBS Penguins :t301: - GM: Dr. Dirty Dishes AGM: xCBx Chuckles
Looking at this management group, I’m a little skeptical of Dishes at LW, but having Chuckles in net is a great pick up at G. I don’t think Baby Frichsburgh will have what it takes beat out Norfolk, but expext them to slide into the Playoffs like Shaun does to any LO’s PM box.

3.) :t309: Syracuse Crunch :t309: - GM: Banksy l88l AGM: xkingchronic
Prehaps one of the more interesting characters to come out of the AHL since Prime Time Pope, xkingchronic seems to be an okay choice as an AGM. The experience from these two are slim to my knowledge, but I wouldn’t want to play for some guy who claimed he saved LG and basically makes me look smart when I participate on the forums. Look for them to remain on the bubble for the season.

4.) :t350: Hershey Bears :t350: - GM: b3rgy AGM: Stop Noto
This is an interesting case for management. b3rgy can usually structure a playoff team, but with the talent coming back to the AHL, from the NHL, and also how stacked the East is, I can’t see Hershey making the playoffs, but there’s always time to improve through bidding!

5.) :t303: Birmingham Senators :t303: - GM: ForcedMayhem AGM: SoSRevolution
First off, let me say thank the fucking lord we don’t have to deal with MLGesus anymore… amirite or amirite? Getting back on topic, I’m not really sure how to describe this group. They’re relatively unknown to me. Don’t really know what to expect from this group.

Western Conference

North:

1.) :t312: Rochester Americans :t312: - GM: K SLICE 8 AGM: TheShockerrrrrr
First off, I’d like to thank you guys for the time I shared with you. Really fun when back in Bridgeport. Good luck to you guys. And secondly, good look on not picking up Noob, you guys deserve a RW that doesn’t need to be carried. These guys are the fawken best, top of the world, mercy win after mercy win. With a close friend at owner to help out K Slice and Shock, expect Rochester to make quality choices. #TheReturn

2.) :t410: Utica Comets :t410: - GM: Jay Smitter AGM: arnooney
Solid management group right here. Nooney is happy that he doesn’t have to carry droppy anymore. Jay Smitter’s team will only get better. With two NHL worthy players as management, expect Utica to be really close to Rochester in the standings all season.

3.) :t317: Lake Erie Monsters :t317: - GM: EricE30 AGM: pete magnum791
With Eric being a proven AHL GM, the Monsters look to play catch up with Americans and Comets all season. Hopefully Erice doesn’t have to smash walls this season or make videos that will give me nightmares and will keep me up for three weeks straight… Pete is an underrated choice as AGM, pete is a quality player and will benefit Erice this season.

4.) :t298: Toronto Marlies :t298: - GM: sK x TakeNotes AGM: Hockeyplayer08
Last year, Max almost got these guys into the playoffs. This season, Notes and Hockey look to finish better than last season. Having a short stint on the Leafs last season, I had the chance to play with Notes, I must say he’s a solid player. Even though the NHL club self-destructed, I had the chance to play with some great guys. Best of luck,, Getting back on track, with the stacked division, expect Toronto to have a repeat of last season, or be a low playoff seed.

5.) :t306: Hamilton Bulldogs :t306: - GM: k4rlsson l65l AGM: CPT ERBZ420
I’m going to say it right now, Hamilton is going to be dead last in the division barring any sort of near-impossible meltdown. Sorry to say it, but the management in your division is no match for you guys. If they have any miracles through bidding, if they magically have a Tom Brady-esque player laying low, expect these guys to finish last.

Midwest:

1.) :t362: Iowa Wild :t362: - GM: Tats x 21 AGM: iTransitions
Back yet again in the AHL… *yawn* They’re the real life Pittsburgh Penguins of the AHL, only that they’re in the west and I don’t hate them. But in all seriousness. Kane and Tranny have some fantastic button skill, even though I had to carry you guys when I was in Minnesota But one of the more well known groups in the A, expect a division win by these guys.

2.) :t349: Jakeford Ice Hogs :t349: - GM: LeafsMan13 AGM: Sup Im Gay 16
Expect Jake to mentor Leafy this season with decisions to benefit the team. Sup has been in the NHL for numerous seasons, with management experience. Leafy is one of the more vocal personalities in the AHL and will bring publicity to the team. Expect them to make the playoffs.

3.) :t299: Grand Rapids Griffins :t299: - GM: tristn AGM: TheYoungTurks1
Even though GRG is middle in the division, don’t expect them to make the playoffs… Sorry, but you’re in the weakest Management division in the Western Conference. Two unknowns compared to the other talent, expect a .500 record or lower.

4.) :t395: Chicago Wolves :t395: - GM: TRiMBoLi TiME AGM: lSneaky x84l
Missed playoffs… They don’t have what it takes. Next team.

5.) :t390: Milwaukee Admirals :t390: - GM: Daddy McKrangle AGM: pitwinkle
To be honest, I could probably learn the French language quicker than finding out who these guys are. Apparently the other Dad left home to go to Calgary. Good luck… You’ll need it. Do I really need to waste my time writing about these guys?

Weast:

1.) :t300: Texas Stars :t300: - GM: l iR GHOST l AGM: Justified l25l
Well, these guys are really good. Having a top 3 forward coming back as AGM? Hah, I’d be scared if I was in the Weast division. Hopefully we see the K Slice/Justified matchup this season. Expect them to win the division.

2.) :t394: Abbotsford Heat :t394: - Kbsmith37 AGM: mr perfect 48
Not as solid as Texas, but still good. Expect them to make the playoffs! Having a former owner as the AGM is a great bonus, on the teams in the west to look out for.

3.) :hedm: OKC Barons :hedm: - GM: Make Your Luck AGM: Collaton
With former NUGErsey Devils Defenseman Make Your Luck at GM, he looks to build a great team after OKC shit the bed last season, thank god I didn’t go there. A fantastic choice at AGM, OKC has some serious button skill, but my only concern is their experience with management. Other than that, this is a sure playoff team.

4.) :t363: San Antonio Rampage :t363: - GM: Spooer69 AGM: RocketShip x 27
Two studs as Management under a great owner. Kopi and Spooer are good friends and this seemed like a logical choice. In a stacked division, expect things to get close between these teams. In my eyes, they can make the playoffs.

5.) :t393: Charlotte Checkers ​:t393: - GM: TDK95 AGM: ????
TDK doesn’t even have an AGM yet…. But with what he did with Chicago, this could be a playoff team if everyone can stayed committed under him, if not good luck lol.

I would have been a writer for the magazine, but I work weekends so I didn't have enough time to produce a quality read for the audience.
