Who's got a maxxed o Just did mine, i think i might create 2 or 3 just for the verity, This isn't like MGP1 at all, you really need to think about where to put those 14 stars
How many stars can go into each attribute. I was just curious to find out how many was the max for each category.
You can get up to 5/category. Some of the pros, like Sampras, have 15 stars - so their character makeup you'll never be able to achieve.
Mine is maxed. You can max out a player in an hour or two easily. Probably less than an hour, if you do the sponsership things for money, and then do just the trainings, and not worry about the tourneys.
I have a guy with all the stars, but I'm missing one of the skills things and I don't know where to get it.
Im on my 4th Maxed out guy! I have me, then Babolat, Andy Roddick, and now Im making Andre Agassi. Then Im done.
Uh, guys. 14 stars is NOT maxed out. If you play Grand Slams, your player WILL get better. I have a pair of 14-star players, both with 3 "skills"... but neither have that 4th skill available to them yet. We won't see a "truely" maxed out player for a while I'm guessing.... it might take some time to work through your career before you get that 4th skill choice. But if we are talking about 14-star players and that being "maxed out" (which it's not), then yes I have 2... and it was very very easy to do (which is why I'm thinking it's not truely maxed out).
how many hours of play to max out?!? just want to know... i'm not really interested in rushing - just want to know how QUICK some of you guys are doing it...
Like I said, I don't think that can be determined yet, I don't even see any 4 skill/14 star players on the leaderboard yet (we are all 3 skill/14 star). To get to just the 3 skill/14 star level, it takes maybe 2hrs at most. You don't even need to play in a tournament to reach that level. You can do almost all of the 1 and 2 star training levels with the coin that you start with... you might run out for that last 2 star one, but goto a sponsor and you can get some easy coin by beating a test player 3-0 (takes 5min). The 3, 4 and 5 star trainings are much harder. I had to do the 3 star volley a couple of times (and it costs you money each time). Surprisingly though, the 5 star forehand was quite simple (just more expensive training, but by that point you'll be able to do sponsor TV ads and get easy coin that way w/o spending an hour or so doing a 3 round tournament). Like MP mentioned in another thread, it's very easy to get coin by hitting up all of the sponsors. Just do the initial 1 set match and TV spot for each of them, and you'll have plenty of coin to build up to a 3 skill/14 star player before hitting your first tournament.
I love the skill selections - that seems like one of the most important choices to make. I had a second skill which I picked (thinking I would have one of the choices already presented next) - but then a whole new set were given to me for the third choice. This really allows for some VERY varied character types. Good job by the developers.
Reign is right! There are only the top 4 players with that 4th skill. I think I might take John's advice and get that 4th skill. Hopefully its really hard to get, which will seperate 4 skillers from the rest.
well if anyone gets to the 4th skill let everyone know how you got it and what skills there were to choose from
Last night, the top guys (myself included) were all still at 3 stars, so I guess 4 stars can't be too far off if they got it done in one day. I'm probably not going to play anymore ranked rounds until I get that 4th one, don't want to risk losing even one match. hehe
I have 4 stars....not skills. I played it for about 10 hours so far. I suck at it but the worse part os the stat whores online ruining the game. Trade bait here I come. Remember when people played online for fun instead of stats?
