Hi guys, With 24 hours away from Bidding, let's go over the specifics to be aware of: How does the AHL Bidding session go? See this thread: http://www.leaguegaming.com/forums/index.php?threads/ahl-bidding-moved-to-dec-29th-9-pm-est.227078/ How many players are we bidding on? Just like the NHL, there'll be a total of 17 players. You'll still get 9 Forwards, 6 Defenders, and 2 Goalies. So, after you consider what slots AHL Management occupies, there you go. Who can bid? NHL Owners, AHL GMs, AHL AGMs (if the Owner sends a PM to give the AGM $$ access to @eMLBCommish) NHL Owners will be the default to bid, if there is no AHL Management yet. What's the salary cap? $25 million Is there Position Lock? There is NO POSITION LOCK in AHL Games. However, the reason position matters still is if you are called up to the NHL, where you must play in the position you signed up for. Again for NHL Positions, forwards can play any forward position, defense plays defense, and goalies are goalies. Should I change Position? If you want to potentially improve your chances to make the NHL, you can consider a position change. Currently, defenders have the best chance to make the NHL from a position standpoint. When are Position Changes allowed until? Until 8:45 PM EST on Dec. 29th. To change position, go to Action Centre > Request > Position Change Is there a Game Max in the AHL? Yes, 3 games. However, with no position lock, this will help limit the risk of forfeits. Hope this FAQ helps. We're excited to start the season! Thanks, guys! LB
Let's thanks LG for making the opportunity to play hockey how it should be, structured and as part of a team. We all appreciate the looks in the pick up games. Hope there was a few stand outs that will make the bidding list that deserves a chance.
