Well, this isn't the "official" sign-up. This is mainly to get ideas of the numbers this league will get. The official sign-up wont be until the game comes out, or is about ready to come out, which probably wont be until Spring.
BTW...I wouldn't mind :bla: Here are my top picks: :bla: :anaa: :boak: :bsf: :bsd: Yes, they are all California teams, (Kalifoania in Arnold's terms), but I like to stick local
Yeah it is still along way away before an official signup especially since there is no official game for use yet and won't be able to make a decision for at least another 4-5 months I would imagine. There has just been so much growth in the site since the first attempt using Inside Pitch that I am wanting to see how the turnout could be. Would be great to fill all the teams like NHL and NFL have done.
Inside Pitch definitely isnt worth 50 cents let alone $50. WSB (sega) is where it is at. And of course this years title now being ESPN MLB should absolutely rock! Can't wait!!! Look for it in March!!!
no way inside pitch sucks man i have it and stop playing it there where alot of bad things in this game i just hope that espn baseball will be online cause that the only one i think that will be worth makeing a league with
Yeah we tried to start it with Inside Pitch and the game was so bad we had to basically call that pre-season and put Season 1 back in the makings. It was only 8 people, 14 games each. and it was worse than pulling teeth to get people to actually play the game. Once a good game is out for live it should definetly draw a much more excited crowd to be going for the batting title, home run king, rbi leader, cy young award, ... all leading down to the penant race for the chance at winning the World Series.
Inside Pitch aint even worth buying just because its the only online baseball game. I'd rather play the AI for 486 games (3 seasons) then play IP. I played it for one day, a total of maybe 2 hours and said, never again...LOL! Back to WSB 2k3 I went.
Inside Pitch is horrid. WSB 2k3 was very nice, but I'm not a huge fan of cursor batting. I'm hoping they give us the ability to turn that off in online games and make hitting the ball more about timing rather than trying to play Missle Command in a baseball game. I really liked High Heat baseball (PC version at least) and since Microsoft bought that franchise, maybe their baseball game will basically be High Heat with a little Inside Pitch sprinkled in. It "could" have potential. I think both games will need to be rented before making a buying decision. MVP baseball was a solid 1st effort from EA last year, great batter/pitcher interface (best around IMO, with the pitching meter), but it lacked alot of sim elements that WSB and other titles have. I'm hoping they sim it up for next year (for my PC baseball fix, I know it won't be on XBL for our league purposes).
With my :bnyy: having to catch up with Boston this year, I would be interested to get it another go with my :bnyy: again. Hopefully with WSB probably being LIVE compatible we can have a better game than Inside Pitch.
