If your old enough to vote, for the love of god DO NOT vote conservative. They want to: - Have a vote to remove Abortion ( :x ) - Raise military spending and create a army on scale of the americans - Drop out of KYOTO PROTOCOL - And basically be Bush's little b*tch and become american's 51st state If you are thinking of voting conservative, please post your address below so i can come over to your house and beat some sense into you!

so you're in favor of abortion??? no offence, but i know im not a good person, but thats the most horrorific to end a defenceless "form of life". if a fetus is not a life form, then yea we could eliminate it whenever we "feel" like it. but it feeds, have a heart, brain, fingers, feet, etc. etc. etc. like you and me. if you havent seen a fetus in a mother's womb during an ultra sound, then an individual who favors abortion should see one. abortion is not only killing an inocent "life form" but also damages the morality and psychology of the woman who aborted the fetus. statistics shows, that women who underwent this "medical procedure" even after several years have past, they still carry the burden in their conscience. i guess we are the only life form that wishes to terminate our own "specie" before its birth. for me this makes human being much inferior to the animal kingdom. yes animals may kill their offspring for survival purposes but not when its in their womb. for me, i dont care about the differences of political parties, all have flatforms on how to manage a country to their best ability, but whoever does not call abortion evil, is out in my list during election time.
Its not so much that abortion is morally right or not, the issue is a woman's right to choose. Why should a bunch of old guys have the power to tell a woman what she can do with her body. Similar to that cracker bush trying to outlaw gay marriage with a constitutional amendment. For the most part abortion is abused because people are stupid and just don't take the proper precautions. But in the case of the woman who gets raped, she should not have to keep the baby. I am in the opinion as well that any woman should be able to get an abortion as most aren't ready/willing to be proper parents. Or they are just having more kids to increase how much they get from welfare. Abortion would decrease the amount of babies that get left in dumpsters as well, I can't stand seeing that. I know that you may not agree with it, and that is your right. But if we begin to let politicians take away our freedoms, it will open ourselves up to being susceptable to having more freedoms come under question. Then again, I'm on an extreme on the curve of what we should be allowed to do. I am in complete support of assisted suicide, but that is a completely different subject.
canucks33, I see abortion as a form of birth control, In the end how is the Pill or a condem any different. They have have the end result, to avoid the birth of a child. I also believe that no one has any more say in abortion then the 2 people responsible for that fetus/child. Weather it's killing a child, preventing life or what have you, The only opinion that matters to me is the one of the mother/father and to take their right away just isn't right. But i dislike the conservitive party's motives for this issue because it's really coming from the religious right wing, And i don't like personal religious opinions being inflicted on the whole.
Although Harper and his fellow Conservatives are a little scary, they will get my vote. Its the same as in the U.S. On a very general view, Coservatives/Republicans equal less social programs and more tax cuts. The Liberals/Democrats generally are the opposite. We are taxed to death up here and I'm tired of Ontario using their electoral muscle to keep the Liberal party in office. As right-wing as Harper may be Tris, he is far less secretive about his agenda than Paul Martin. Regardless I hope people keep their votes to these two parties. A vote for the NDP is a wasted vote.
Actually, the Pill and the comdom prevent conception, not birth. i.e. they prevent pregnancy. Abortion is waaay after the fact of conception and it is the removal of life, not the prevention of life. Why don't they just wait until the baby is born and then kill it? It is the same thing. Oh.. but wait, you would have to look at the baby then and could actually see baby since it is not hiding in the mothers wound where it is "suppose" to be safe and growing ( as it will continue to do until adulthood).
