He may be retired but Brett Favre is the cover athlete for Madden NFL 09. This is the first time a non-active player has been selected for the cover. The news comes out of an appearance on the David Letterman show tonight (which tapes earlier in the day) and has been confirmed by GameDaily. There is also a show on the NFL Network scheduled for Saturday at 10am ET that will showcase the history of Brett Favre and the Madden franchise. The official press release is expected Friday morning. It is fitting that Favre will represent the 20th Anniversary of Madden. His long and storied career can be revisted in the same manner that EA Sports will be doing with the 20th anniversary of Madden. Official announcement on Letterman tonight.
Thanks.. while im not a pack fan i am a fan of the iron man of football.. He always enjoyed the game and i enjoyd watching him enjoy the game..
he's gonna get hurt on his farm I'm a cheesehead all the way and it's about 10 years too late, but finally they've gotten it right.
Maybe he'll be on the cover of "NFL Retirement 09: Featuring Brett Favre" It would be a perfect game to launch with head coach. Follow Brett as he farms and does household chores as his wife nags at him. Dress him in his jeans as he goes out to play pickup football with random friends who show up in Brett's back yard.
It bugs the heck outta me how you misspelt his name in the post. so does this just avoid a curse on favre? or would it still retain to his whole team? like in final destination, seeing as how the curse has been avoided would it just go to the next in line(his team) and curse them?
Ok First Off As A Packers Fan Im Gonna Speak On Behalf Of A Packer Fan Brett Farve Deftely Dreserves It Im Sorry The Guy Has Been Through Hell And Back So If Anybody Has A Problem With Him Hes Deftely In The Top 3 Best Qbs Ever Bottomline Who Else Can Have The Best Game Of Ur Career After Ur Father Dies So Shock And Anybody Else Who Makes Of Him Why Dont U Check Ur Vcrs And Dvds And Tapes And Watch Highlights Of Him Hes The Best Guy Ever To Play The Sport Im Sorry Bottomline Anyways I Glad Hes On The Cover..
IT is important to use the '.' .... I think you can say for sure a first ballot hall of famer before you can say top 3 ever.. Comparing guys through decades of football, different era's and schemes is a little tough to do...
And they say kids don't learn anything in school these days. And I thought my kindergarten teachers had a pet peeve for run-ons. Anyways I'm not going to discount Brett, he was a great player.
Think how much time could've been saved by not capitalizing every word  I have to admit, I wasn't a fan of Favre (although I did buy his rookie card). I'm the type of person who gets sick of hearing about people regardless of how good they are. But as the "hype" around him died down, I was able to start respecting him as a person and player.
You Must Always Be In A Rush Because I Know If You Are In A Hurry Sometimes You Forget To Use Periods And Its Really Hard To Spell "Favre" Correctly Heck I Am Not A Packers Fan And I Know Better Anyways He Is A Good Player Oh By The Way I Am In A Hurry All The Time Too I Guess You Are Always In A Hurry
