LGGT Week 1 Courses Announced!

Gentlemen,

It is with great pleasure that I introduce our two courses for our first official week in LT!

First, reminders:

1) Post your scores hole by hole either by the Mobile App or on the website. If you are still not sure how to do this, let me know ASAP. It counts now, so accuracy is required!
2) You MUST play the games IN the tour! Some of you thought you can just play a round and submit your scores. We're verifying and WILL DELETE incorrect scores.
3) Stats posted at LG are FINAL and the scores that determine standings. We expect stragglers to play the Tour unaware of our setup.
4) Have fun, and try to schedule ahead with a group of tour-mates to play with live to see each others' shots. If you know when you're going to play, announce it and see if additional people will join you to make it more fun!

Week #1 - Primary Course (4 rounds - 100 Pts per player)

Ross Hollow Golf Course

Very pretty course, played it last night and fell in love with the challenge, while not being a "Major" type of course from a challenge perspective.

From PocketScout: "The techniques in fairway smoothing and bunker construction are now the standard to compare all courses with. This greens are very receptive with generous pin placements. Some pins are close to the edge but not on crazy inclines. The entire course is link together and you feel as if you are exploring a beautiful piece of land that just inviting you to play again. Also this course is not over planted so it can be enjoyed by all."

Week #1 - Secondary Course (4 rounds - 50 Pts per player)

Stone Hollow on Yeti River

From PocketScout: "Starting with a very elevated tee shot on hole 1, players drop into the valley created by the Yeti River. Enjoy a relaxing round deep in the woods and alongside the rushing currents. Holes are long, greens are tough, but play very fair. This course will challenge many aspects of your game. Accuracy off the tee is very important and being able to land your long irons properly will allow you to shoot well, other wise plan on pars and bogeys. Every hole is unique and quite a joy to play."

Week 1 runs from Sunday, 9/7 to Saturday, 9/13!!!!

It is my intention to always find a solidly built course to offer as our primary course, while our secondary course should see slightly better scoring because it's not perceived as much of a challenge. I hope you enjoy the selections, and look forward to your input going forward for future LT courses!

How does this point system actually work, what is it based off and what are they used towards/for?

so anyone that plays the tour automatically gets the points? how do you get more points than someone else, etc etc.

hope the course u chose are good, and the thumbnail doesnt work by the way.

did you guys have horrible frame rate issues playing Ross Hollow? i dont know if its because of rivals or these 14mph winds right now but the frame rate is horrible [MENTION=8233]eMLBCommish[/MENTION] [MENTION=12477]BigDaddyMT[/MENTION]

 

I played the front 9 earlier with no issues, Stench

 

ross is the full 18, stone is the one thats divided into back and front 9s

 

Yeah, I played Ross. Just only finished the first 9 is all.

 

Played it without issue. Loved the course! Think it's a great start for the Tour!

 

Anyone else noticing any frame rate issues on Ross? I have only played a few holes but it seems to be stuttering a lot for me.

 

yeah man the whole course mine was horrible.

 

definitely some frame rate issues not a big deal however just annoying

 

Frame rates not good at all for me on Ross Hollow.

They specifically note that its XBox One that has frame rate problems, and that PS4 and PCs haven't noticed any. I've yet to, but now I'm all paranoid I will because there's a collection above saying they are. :/

 

Just played a practice round at Ross Hollow and it ran a bit sluggish for me as well. Still playable in my opinion though. Nice course. The only issue I had was the stuttering made my putter "stick" on the backswing a time or two.

 

what has happened with Tours each round is now posted separate and scores accumulated at end? No longer shows round score and even score while playing?

 

Course played fine for me. Need to run a couple more rounds to acclimate my approach shots for the greens. Good course.

 

Not a huge fan of Stone Hollow, feels a bit too fantasy-ish for my liking but will play it in the tour, gotta get those points lol.

 

Same here. It's playable, but definitely does not play the same as the courses for pre-season.

 

I like Dr. Yeti's efforts, and wanted at least one of his courses in the Tour.
