The forward core is mostly a Columbus transplant except the Gerbe/Marcotte line leaving. Rickchel and Delong are viable replacements and are also significantly cheaper. Jakoo is the elite center that every team needs and expect Martin/Wags/Gucci to be a good line as well. Defensively they have Soy Los and Mondi as a top pair. Both may feel they went for more than they're worth but they fill the needs of Anaheim very well. Getzlaf is another good defender to round out a top 4. Big Wet May is looking to repeat his successful rookie season out west while Neon is a long time AHLer getting another shot after a decent season in Nashville.

Pier Talent has done a good job with his first season as an owner. Shockz/CT is a reliable forward duo every season. Adding Strizzy or Miller to their line is more than enough to compete against most teams. Scopes has been very successful in the AHL and has good linemates in Miller and Pier. Defensively Yuri is expected to be the #1 man like he is in ESHL for Complicity. Grazomatic is a decent choice to support him but there could be better. Stieny is a steal at 500k, but past him it is average at best depth players with Chelios being the only possible exception. Jerrz and Gally are an excellent goalie tandem and probably the best tandem under 2 million in the league.

The Frenchmen Emporium is now officially in Calgary this season with the acquisition of Vedette before puck drop on Sunday. For being a French team is is kind of odd to see a weaker forward lineup than most other French teams. This doesn't mean they are bad by any means as Jo Master, Nylander, and Bosses are good first line players while Rocket is a good for a second line. Past those four it's a bit of a letdown for the salary involved. Hoodstar is the only exception, but his two seasons were both under Dubz who used this account as a second tag.

On a side note, are we allowing second taggers to be owner again? If that's the case, why are CT and Shockz still management banned? Does Dubz have some kind of special exemption?

Defensively Goblin and Dubz are a great top pair although it is likely they will be split to help out their somewhat poor depth. Beaupre, who loves NHL18, has decided to try a season out of the net and I hope it goes well for him. They also appear to have a clan in net, hopefully they can get their clan GT spelling in unison before the season is over.

Has Poopie finally built a playoff caliber team? Keeks, Midi, and Potty are going to have to dominate to balance out the weak forward depth. Poopie did tally 3 points in his debut against the Sharks, but I don't see that happening very often. The rest of the roster is a mix of last season's mess and some 3rd liners. Defensively they have...people. Wolfy is excellent as a 3rd pair guy for 500k but Luigi and Firephoenix were pretty terrible last season. Saarijarvi may be the only player there that could crack a top 4 anywhere else. Natzu is a great goalie, but they can only do so much on a consistent basis.

LA has stayed mostly the same except for a few big chances. Tb Toxic, Hatemaker, and Hine are the new top line after losing out on the old Flyin' Hawaiian duo. Basful is a good 2nd line option along with Eatchy although they are quite expensive. Defensively Rammer Hater and Solo Dolo are a decent top pair. Dutch Lover is also very underrated. Their weakness is the defensive depth after spending so much on their forwards. Greg White is a great goalie but may be cursed after his spat with NYI to get out of there.

San Jose looks a LOT different this season. PTP, Gilleh, Class Act is probably the best forward line in the league this season. Past them three GapShot is in place to carry an average 2nd line of Vik and PeyB. The third line center is unknown at the moment but Leafy and Shaun will have to do better than they did last night against Edmonton. Defensively Odie is elite and well worth 8m. Stamtoast is a steal at 1 million as well. The only question is if BlueLineKing and Cactus are going to be good enough come playoff time. Smitty is still elite but with Delosh gome they are looking to another 500k goalie in Tresatti to fill the void.

From top to bottom Vancouver doesn't have a questionable contract on their forward roster. Jemima is a great player to base their first line around and Sawse, Rowski, Ksw is an excellent depth line to have. Soapy/Pauly/Don is another high chemistry line which has had success for several seasons. The question is who are their first liners past Jemima? Dee is going to be a surprise if he can keep up and is Giroux really a first line center? It is really going to hurt them in the long run. Defensively they have some of the best options for each position one could get. Bass and Davey being a depth pair is amazing. Then add Jonez in as a goaltender and you could have the best defensive team in the league.

This may be the most veteran team in the league. Duggan and Dave are the heads of this apparent retirement home in the Nevada desert. But with age comes experience, as Ezreal and Heatfan are going to be reliable for their rather cheap prices. Yorke was absolutely horrible last season but will likely bounce back. On defense Curiosity and Hooter are a good top pairing. Past those two you have Bry and SlimShady who are decent to round out a top 4. It's hard to judge these two goalies as one has zero Lg stats and the other is a PSN guy. They should be average if not better. With all the experience on this squad you can't count them out until they're mathematically out.

DIVISION PREDICTIONS

While San Jose still remains the favorites to win the division I'd expect Vancouver to give them a good battle for that top spot. Behind them it's going to be a scrap between three or four teams to fill out the final potential two playoff spots. Arizona is that fourth team that people shouldn't sleep on. I'd say the two teams that are going to have to up their game to make it are Edmonton and Calgary.

Letting people know that Hoodstar's two seasons were both on a team with you and Stif (one season where Stif was management and another where you both were management) and that you have him this season isn't spreading rumors. Those are facts. Saying I don't trust his stats when it's been likely under a second tag each season isn't a rumor, that's an opinion.

We got banned in s25 and i just got off the list this season after begging and i only got agm (post bidding) and ct is still on it. But jerz gets to take ownership 3 seasons after his ban for the same thing? He has also quit the league mid season multiple times, something neither of us have ever done.

 

Hoodstar is a long-time nhl player and he has always put up good numbers. Stif may have play some games on his tag, but from my memory it was only 2 or 3 games. He was a top player in old NHLs so your argument saying his stats are boosted by tag recovery is irrelevant. The guy knows how to play the game.
