To be honest. To me it doesn't really matter to me what 2k does. After playing 2k hockey for the past 3-4 years and playing 150+ league games this season with 2k7, I'm just burnt out on 2k hockey. Unless 08 really blows they have my money for atleast this season. As for what Fiddy posted...Sounds pretty good. Nice to see 2k adding their own version of the shot stick.
correct me if i'm wrong, but i'm pretty sure 2K7 was running at 60FPS and I don't see why that would change this year.
you are correct. And they shouldn't, unless they are trimmed the frame rate to fit in all the extra details in
confirmed on gamestop live game demo.. 60fps and 1080p... also, could they have not had anybody else to do the interview, the rep from 2k kush whatever couldnt talk.. stutters, stutters, like he didnt know how to describe their own game.. ugh

This is dated for today, but not sure if its new! http://news.teamxbox.com/xbox/14114/2K-Sports-Introduces-New-Gameplay-Features-for-NHL-2K8/
Pro stick http://media.xbox360.ign.com/media/866/866315/vids_1.html This thing looks amazing. Job well done!
sweet, it looks like they took the pro stick and made it better and the extra controls on defence also look great. Looks like their focus this year is on control which is always a good thing!
(newbie mode = on) I admittedly know little to nothing about hockey, but have always enjoyed hockey video games (although I haven't played one since NHL 2003? I think, with disastrous results). Thus, this site's interest in the games have piqued my interest and I might look at getting either NHL 08 or NHL2k8 when they come out. My question is, would 2k8 (based on everyone's experience with previous 2k games) be too complex/difficult for a beginner like me (I don't even know what icing is)? I know there will be a learning curve, and usually I can adapt somewhat well, but I don't think I'd want to get it if I'll just get blown out 15-0 every game (and wouldn't be able to do any better unless I acquired a deep understanding of the game of hockey).
