How does the claiming a team work? For us new players?

 

I'll be returning but with TCU not Houston

 

once the commishes figure out how many guys we will have in the league there will be a new guy team draft..

 

You will be in a draft for teams..

 

Works out pretty well for new guys. I was new a couple seasons ago to NCAA. Basically you have a shot at some top tier teams that aren't claimed by returning members.

 

Im not gonna lie, this place impresses me more and more. Everyone here is so friendly its amazing. Again, thanks for all the info guys

Yeah stick around for Madden too, it looks like the Chargers may be up for grabs, not too sure the current owner was happy with them.

 

Yeah, I hope I can manage to get in this league, there seem to be a lot of cool guys in here. About what time does this league start up? I am guessing a week or two after the release?

 

Ultimately its up to the commishes. We'll all be playing exhibitions and what not immediately after release, just to get settings down, get used to the game, etc. They'll post a signup thread not too long after that. Your timeframe is probably close to what it will be, 1-2 weeks or so.

By the way, what are the odds of us newcomers making it in this new season?

 

I'd say pretty good. You would have to talk to ExArmySgt or Drake on specifics though, and I doubt they'll have it all decided before the next title comes out in August. We didn't run a full 32 team league in the current season (we're now in the playoffs), and others crapped out, so there will be teams out there. My suggestion to you would be to engage in board discussions, maybe see if you can get in on Forza practice races or Gears of War as I see you have both of those games. At least it can tide you over until NCAA and Madden come out. When they do come out, play exhibitions and as is always the key, stay active. I'd say you have an excellent shot at NCAA because there is never as much interest in it as there is Madden. Get in that, stay reliable, and Madden is definitely a possbility as well.

For NCAA there is an excellent chance if you stick around the site you will get in. The league was small last season so theres room for quite a few more teams.

For Madden it would depend on how many returning members there are but there will at least be a few spots open.

 

I'm interested. I will have to see how my schedule is when the game releases.
